You only get 3 wishes... Use the wisely. Don’t be greedy.

1. Top 3 Mo Val finish.

2. New practice facility. Heard Lansing mention this in post game - it’s been discussed think it would be a nice upgrade!

3. A Championship run in St. Louis! Win would be great - but it’s been awhile. I just want to know what it feels like to be in the conversation again.

What ya’all want!

Going to build on a couple of yours, but here goes:

1. Don't care where we finish in the league play but I'd love another MVC tournament title which punches a bid to the dance. If that is being greedy, I'll take any postseason play for our young guys so they have something to drive them going forward.

2. Your #2 works for me. If I can be greedy, I'd like all facilities wishes to be granted.

3. A 3-star level guard in the next recruiting class to pair with the frontcourt youth.

1. Be in the valley title hunt come the last weekend. I'd settle for top 3 overall..But I haven't seen a valley game live in the HC in my adult life during that final stretch where we had a legit shot at winning the league. Not talking 8 or 10 games in..Final 2-4 games, I think that would be a pretty cool environment for our young team.

2. Continue the progression of those underclassmen and one of guys win FOY. Tall task for them to get the numbers needed given the weapons we have all around...but it is my damn list!

3. The foundation/athletic department get off their collective ass and do a real fundraiser for the locker room. It is a complete pit from construction and needs done the right way. If you are going to have a grand opening of HC next year , yet you still have the home locker room looking worse than Terre Haute South's?? What message does that send? Get it together state..

With 3 choices I'd go

1. A .500 season to break the long streak of losing seasons

2. No injuries to any of our players

3. Avoid playing on Thursday in St Louis

Meet any of these goals and it's a successful season!

Good thread. I say go big or go home.
1. Beating Valpo on espn2 in Hulman Center February 29th for regular season championship.
2. Winning arch madness on cbs
3. Winning first round game against IU

Merry Christmas!

Do these things and then open up a renovated Hulman Center in November to a sellout crowd!

This one is a good point about experiencing something. It's also why I want some/any postseason berth so Tre, Jake and Cobie can see what postseason play is like. I hope it is the dance but if it is one of the ancillary events, so be it.

That little bonus “do these things and...” was playing with fire and the rules... Just sayin.

I will use one wish on a passionate, dedicated fan base. If we had sell outs and 10k plus in the Hulman Center each game many of our other issues (funding, recruiting) would take care of themselves.

I would also wish for a top 50 recruiting class each year and more games on national television (CBS, ESPN).

Three Christmas Wishes for this season...

1. 20+ Wins

2. At least one win in the NIT.

3. Win every game in which we play on national/regional TV.

I don't know what you define as "too greedy" as most of these wishes seem unrealistic, soooo ...

1. Undefeated for the remainder of the season (you know what that means)
2. MVC champions on an annual basis
3. Infinite wishes

1. Larry Bird to return as coach.

Larry Bird won't come back to ISU again until they throw an event where everyone gets to kiss his butt for the day. I honestly don't care if he ever comes to ISU again unless he actually shows to support the team unannounced, which won't happen.

As for my wishlist.
1) No injuries.
2) Stay out of Thursday.
3) Make MVC semifinals.

Too greedy is in the eyes of the wish maker... But #3 is granted. Ha

There’s a whole lot he could do to help this program besides coaching. A good start would be to dip into his wallet and fund a first class locker room or practice facility. My guess is, neither will happen. The more I think about it, the more his lack of commitment to the program disappoints me. He could make a donation to our program that could be a game changer and further his legacy. All without making much of a dent in his bank account, unfortunately he doesn’t see it that way. I appreciate all he did during his time here, but he’s pretty much forgotten us in the last 40 years.

Since Christmas has passed and I didn't get everything I wanted, I'll give this a whirl. It's hard to make a wish list realistic, but I'll do my best. I'm keeping this to this year only.

1) At least a semifinal appearance in St. Louis. I freaking love Arch Madness and would love it even more if my team played at least through Saturday. I'm tired of going on Thursday, watching ISU lose, and then watching everyone else have more fun than me.

2) New/improved locker room added to the Hulman Center renovation. Keeping this out of the plans as they stand today is an egregious oversight and totally overlooks a very important feature to recruiting.

3) LaRavia ending the season as our 3rd leading scorer or better. If that happens, he takes some even bigger steps forward this year and my #1 wish almost assuredly is granted. This kid is going to be all MVC very soon, and I wish to be impatient with his development.
