The Captain Level
The Rockies won, 2-1, last night but the ordeal was tough on batting averages. Barmes was 2 of 9 (single and double, I believe), dropping his batting average from .500 to .400. Thatcher allowed no runs, two hits and struck out one in two innings. Barmes, playing stints at second base and third base and apparently went the entire game, flied out to right field off Thatcher in the 13th.
