I see Alex Jones is first team all MVFC on Steele's page, does anyone know for sure if Chris Izbicki is going to play for ISU this Fall? Haven't seen anything lately

I dont expect Chris to be a receiving option, he is a manhandler who will help in the running game quite a bit.
 
I was suprised the respect that Phil Steele gave to the trees, I mean it would be our first 1 team all american in ten years? Dang and if Ronnie blows up this year we could have two in theory with a few other AAs? Please tell me other MVFC fans that this team wont finish top half.

You know it makes no difference what the "experts" say or what we say about the Sycamores. Those on the other boards won't believe it until the Trees prove it on the field--and then they will most likely make excuses instead of giving our guys credit for kicking their tails. That's just the way it is, and we know it. We will just wait and laugh later.

It is great to see the Sycamores, collectively and individually, get these preseason accolades. I feel they are well deserved.

I find it interesting that ISU has more athletes named to the Phil Steele All-MVFC teams (10) than all the other MVFC teams except UNI (12).

I agree though that ISU is not going to get ANY respect from any other teams' fans until they prove it on the field. I agree with Sycamore Proud when he says that other teams will make every excuse in the book for why they lost to ISU and they won't give any credit to our guys for being a plain old good football team. We'll all have the last laugh if you ask me.
