I thought I saw some Tweet on this today. I shot him a DM but no response. If so, that is a great pickup for the Sycamores. If one kid embodies the Sycamore turnaround to me, it's Alex. This picture in particular... for those of you that were at the game, you'll understand.

I have confirmed with Alex that he is coming back to Terre Haute to be a graduate assistant. He is going to work on his masters in Exercise Science and also use the time on his injury recovery and getting himself in good shape to give the NFL another go next year. His determination and drive will be an asset to the program.

Alex loves the Sycamore program, and is very proud of being part of the turnaround. I'll always remember the difference in the post games between the 2008 rout at Western Illinois, and the thrilling OT win at home in 2010 against Missouri State that brought them to 4-2 and confirmed that the turnaround was happening. He has been working hard with his rehab, and wants the opportunity he missed out on because of his injury during the regional combine. He also wants to be part of the team reaching the playoffs. Now, being on the offensive side of the ball? That will be interesting...
