This is a stretch, but bare with me.

Last year, after losing to Wyoming by 30 points, our record was 3-5.
We then went on to win 9 of our next 11 and go up 12-7.

This year, we lost to Creighton by 26 to drop to 11-9.
We started out the year 9-2.
We've lost 7 or our last nine.

Hmmm, I'm looking for a connection, but I"m not finding one.

I guess my point is, we came out of the Wyoming loss with determination, knowing we were a better team than that, and then went on a run.

Here's to hoping they can do that with this Creighton game. I truly believe it's something we can do.

No it's totally different - this team has laid down/thrown in the towel on 3 of the last 4 games. The only game I saw the level and fight and energy needed to win at this level was vs. WSU - we just got beat by a better team and I am fine with that. The effort put fourth yesterday was soft at best. Creighton is a top 20 team and Wyoming was not - no comparison at all. Wyoming was 10 and 21 last year and 2 and 6 coming into that game vs. Indiana State - in other words, they were not a good team last year.

I like the positive spin, but I'm just not seeing it.

The players need to rally together. That's for sure. They need to remember that they have to fight to the bitter end in MVC games. That's why I wish Lansing had left some of the starters (minus Richard and Odum) on the floor to the end, to remind them of that point. To lose is one thing, to not give it your all is another. We haven't been giving it our all by the looks of it and no one on the floor has been stepping up to lead by example.

Could it be that we are not conditioned well enough? I've wondered why lansing constantly subs in and out and why we stand around on offense. Maybe they're are just tired. I watched IU today and they are on an entirely different level than we are. We jog up and down the floor and stand on offense 75% of the game and play hard in short spurts when Lansing lights a fire under them. If we want to compete, we need to play like iu plays. 100% all the time. But we can't do that if we aren't conditioned well enough.

McManus and company do an excellent job conditioning athletes...you can make a pretty good case he and his staff have alot to do with the improvement in all around success

Oh ok man. Yea you're right. That's probably why we get beat off the dribble so much and players are constantly asking to come out. Sorry. That was a stupid theory by me. What was I thinking. Thanks for correcting me.

I didn't say it was "stupid" I am just saying history suggests that isn't the problem. For a person who complains about people not having a sense of humor you sure are taking it seriously.

I'm not taking anything too seriously. You just like to disagree with everything I put on here. I find it kind of funny actually.
