Funny, I just watched this kid play last Friday night at Franklin Central. I was underwhelmed. I didn't see anything that made me think, "Oooo, I want that kid at State!" Of course, I don't really know that much. He seemed slow and the Franklin Central defense, which wasn't really keyed on him, took him out of the game.

Not all that excited, but it was only one game...
 
Yeah I don't really no anything about the kid.... I am just so unmotivated about Gant after conversation with folks this week that I am irritated. I love to see the Sycamores land local kids and I was so hopeful that he would be the next in a long line of local kids but it just doesn't appear that is going to be the case.
 
Any reason for this? I wonder what he wants that ISU doesn't give him? Or, maybe he wants out of town? You and I both know tons of kids that just wanted out of Terre Haute. Stupid? Yeah, but it happens - A LOT!!!
 
Yeah I don't know ITF, but maybe your right he just wants to get away from "home" which is not to uncommon. For me (granted I didn't have a lot of options) but it was a dream and an honor to wear the colors that I grew up watching... Different kids are motivated by different things. We will know in a few months if we (Indiana State) made the cut when he cuts it down to 5 or so schools. I would guess with us being "home" that we will at the very least make the cut. But I wont go to far as to say I AM CONFIDENT that we will make the cut. lol

Not sure who maintains the link mentioned above but I quit reading it when they included
gloomington south as a 'southern indiana' school

gloomington is as much in 'southern indiana' as greenwood is OR fishers and lebanon are in 'northern indiana'

if you want SOUTHERN indiana; draw a line from Vincennes to Madison; anything SOUTH of that line -- That's Southern Indiana!

Next thing, someone will try and convince me that the Haute is in Southern Indiana or funnier, SouthWest Indiana... :rolleyes:

Batesville isn't in that mix, so Menser's off the list...

The "offer list" isn't real impressive.......................... Creighton, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference, tendered an offer to Greathouse, a 6-foot-9 post, according to the player’s father.
Greathouse also holds scholarship offers from from IPFW, Indiana Wesleyan, Olivet Nazarene and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The being "looked at list" usually means they sent you a brochure.

Since HWY 40 (aka "The National Road") has always been the unofficial marker dividing N & S Indiana, when would "Greenwood" have ever been considered non-southern? Also, if you think "Southern Indiana" should be determined by"drawing a line from Vincennes to Madison," you're less astute than I originally thought re: an understanding of the "social sciences."
