If I had to venture a guess, it was related to the college basketball payola. He pointed fingers at quite a few people and I'm sure the station probably got threatened about lawsuits.

Since it was for something last year, you're probably right. I rarely listen to him, but when I do (on the radio) he says something sexist every couple minutes. Probably doesn't offend his audience of 40 and older males, but some of it is pretty bad.

Thanks -- I rarely catch his act, though I occasionally notice he calls some MBB games

It’s ESPN so it was something that 99.9% of the population doesn’t get hurt over but you know ESPN. They panic at the first sign of controversy or non PC. Unless it’s hiring accused murderers or people who demonize traditional America. In which case ESPN never seems very concerned.

“PC” surely has evolved into something different in the last 4 years or so. I’d like to champion an effort to really get rid of the abbreviation when referring “right or wrong” because I believe that PC is actually PI Politically Incorrect or PW Politically Wrong...

This doesn’t make any sense at all and Im aware of that but talking about the word political and correct in same breath seems wrong in this day and age regardless of your political affiliation.

ESPN was one of the early adopters of political bias in my opinion.

Not that any of this really matters to me, as Dakich and his shtick got a little stale for me over the past year and I don't really listen/follow him, but I do find it laughable that he got suspended for violating journalist principles. I wasn't aware ESPN had any principles to violate anymore.

Nor would I ever consider Dan Dakich a "journalist." He's an opinion guy, that's it. And he basically has one topic that he loves - himself...

last 4 years? Much longer than that time period. PC was "meant" to be more polite in speech, i.e. no more slurs, ethnic, racial, religious, etc but it;s become quite twisted; if you reference a poor experience with your D.D.S. you'll quickly be branded a Raving Anti-Dentite

Ya... Probably much longer than 4 years although things have been turned up a notch. My point is/was what is considered politically correct has changed a GREAT deal over the years and I really think PC shouldn't be used because of the drastic shift.

I haven't heard the phrase or acronym in years. I think the only people who still refer to political correctness are those complaining about it.
