Really looking forward to this game: national tv coverage, Neese and Williams eligible, top 60 (net rank) opponent. I know there's a long road ahead of us, but not many had the trees at 6-2 at this point in the season. If we're in a good position in late march this is the type of game that can make or break us in the eyes of the committee. Although with all that said; I'm not holding my breath that any team other than the conference tourney champ makes the dance.

Fact: this is the type of game that can “make” you relevant in the eyes of the committee.

Fiction: we are not a bubble team - so as it relates to the bubble the outcomes matters not. Our only chance to get in will be the MVC tournament.

Fact: the only team getting in the tournament this season from the MVC will be the MVC Tournament Champion.

But otherwise - good opportunity to see where we stand against a good team. Will be fun to see how Neese and Williams change things.

I would assuredly be in the stands for this game, but I'll be in Indy at the Colts/Cowboys game with a few degenerate Cowboy fan friends I've gotten to know since in Dallas. It sucks this game falls on the same day, but so be it. I'm sure they'll come back through Texas again in like 10 years.

As for the game...we're going to be smoked in this one. Everyone will be talking about how terrible we are, how this is the typical Lansing-team swoon we've seen in the past, how we've already peaked with wins against WKU and Wright State, etc. etc. etc. In reality, TCU is a really good team; much better than we are. That's the long and short of it.

I bet we fare better in this game than USC did against the Horned Toads.

I bet we shoot more threes in this game than we have all season, and I'm totally fine with that.

we're entering a very dangerous time of the schedule here, a tough TCU game, and then an MTE. We've been shut out the past 2 MTE's we've played in (0-3). So hopefully we're not entering an 0-4 stretch here.

I'd like to see us stay close at TCU. We may not win, but I don't want to see us get blown out, then maybe go to Hawaii and win at least one game. We can't afford another MTE 0-fer.

This team is different, so I think we'll fare better than the past 2 seasons. We need to.

We stay within 7 points and could possibly win, using NO more than 8 players...and no more than 7 in the 1st half, now that NEESE and WILLIAMS are ELIGIBLE.

We lose by 10+ points using 9 players

We lose by 15 – 20 points using 10, and it’s a 25 point blowout using 11+

Can someone please explain why GL pulls a starter with just 3 minutes and some seconds into any game? You can set your watch by it. At the 16:28 mark, someone’s coming out. They’re STARTERS for crying-out-loud, NOT 6th man subs or role players!!!

Can you imagine if FOOTBALL, or any other sport operated like that….a new QB, Running Back, Lineman, etc. in the game….just every whipstitch.

And one other gripe. What’s up with the PUNITIVE approach to pulling a sub because they committed a TO over a FOUL? One of our guys could be in there for 30 seconds and if they make a mistake, they’re out of the game. Like that’s goin’ to teach em, and teach everyone else! Geezus, let em play!

Let's hope we compete well in this game. I have a feeling we'll play a smaller lineup. My concerns would be interior D and rebounding. I see where Brinkmeyer is questionable with knee issue.

the things I will be looking for in this game, can we do better with our FT shooting? And will we not get in a 10+ point hole within the first 5 minutes of the game, and then spend the rest of the game trying to catch back up? Also, rebounding, as mentioned, will be another key area to pay attention to

Will this be our "BIG WIN" for the 18-19 season? We don't have one yet, so why not??

IIRC some thought WKU would be our "BIG WIN". Sure hope they are wrong!!

6-4 frogs

Missed the the first 2.5 minutes because of the game before. But looks like we are playing with a sense of urgency.

Rickman with a beautiful put-back dunk and Kessinger with a nice tip in so far.

I heard Thomas got a hurt in practice. Good excuse right before your minutes were getting cut anyway..

He’s generally been a pretty soft player since he got here. I woulda thought he still woulda got a decent run - but maybe not??

Key has looked a little unsure of himself early today for the first time this year - he’s got to wake up!
