Huge win! Great start the the conference season!

Kent is such a difference maker this year. Double-double against his former team. What a great addition and difference maker he has been this year.

Have to like the composure to not let Bradley come all the way back when things got sideways to start the half.

Vorst first half 3 minutes were big. A coach I had the privilege to play for and coach with always said it’s the little things.

Go Trees!
Bradley played small in second half. That’s why Vorst didn’t see the floor in 2nd half.

We played about 30 minutes of real solid ball today. We got sloppy at times with our passes and came out flat after half time for a bit, but I'll take the big road W! There is something about this team that feels different. We have this confidence about us that I love seeing and it seems to have spread all over the team. Enjoy this everyone....seasons like this have been few and far between.

It’s always nice to get a conference road win, but to get one at a place that everyone else will have a hard time duplicating is twice as nice.

The biggest obstacle ISU has this season in my view is depth. I'll take our starting 5 over any other MVC school's starting 5 any day, but to me our bench is a little iffy. As for the real top 25, if we win the rest of our non-conference games including the Michigan State game then ISU should be in the top 30 at least by the end of the month.

At this point, to me anything less than a top 4 finish would be a huge disappointment. Today's win confirms for me that we should be serious contenders for the regular season title, as long as all of our starters remain healthy.

PEORIA, Ill. - Indiana State men's basketball secures their first win at Bradley since February 24, 2018 in Saturday's win, 85-77. The Sycamores move to 7-1, 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference while Bradley falls to 6-2, 0-2 MVC.

Don’t look now, but through 2 games we have the #1 defense in the league. 87.9 Defensive Efficiency.

Doesn’t mean anything until we’ve played everybody, but still cool to see.

Carver has been an incredibly tough place to come out with a Win. Coupled that with the fact they were coming off a surprise loss to Murray and wanting to avoid the 0-2 start; I'm absolutely ecstatic that we won.

JKent has absolutely transformed his game. Guy has come up huge on both ends all year long. It's great reading the Bradley board and they are pissed Wardle has ran off so much talent in the past few years.

I know we suggested it in the pre-season, then we said it in the non-con, but our guards are absolutely a problem for this conference. Nobody is touching us 1-3. Pick our poison. Can you imagine being an opposing guard and just having to go against them all night on both ends?

Our rebounding was on point today. First half was phenomenal; second half they got some second chance opportunities but for the most part you can't be anything other than happy with how we did on the boards.

Vorst had a real good run in the first half to spell Avila

My one complaint from the sycamores is we were pretty sloppy with the basketball. Really, trying to throw it over the longest team in the MVC was pretty annoying.

But hell, another great day to be a Sycamore! 7-1! 2-0 in the MVC! Let's go!

Haven’t heard anything about Hickman, but his status will highly impact BU’s standings. They have very little depth in the backcourt behind him.

Also…I saw some of Wardle’s comments, did he have any on J Kent???!

Re-watched the first half - we went 10-19 from 3 and like 5/9 misses were wide open shoots or rim outs. Could’ve been up even more

Thank you Huff77 for saying it for me. I said it and I stand on it. Even with all their length, and boy are they long, if we don't give up the rock so much and make them score in the half court we beat the brakes off those boys! Bradley fought hard and man do they have heart. But talent wise we're better than them and its not even close!!! Really proud of how we rebounded. Really proud of Kent. A little frustrated for us letting their full court token pressure in the 2nd half slow us down that much. They wanted us to not be able to get into our offense til about halfway thru the clock and we fell for it. We needed to attack that, get downhill and get into 3 v 2 scoring situations.
