I think the boys will be pumped after the Ville game but we just aren't there yet for a major upset against a very good EIU team. That along with the fact I doubt we take to many "big play" chances hurts our hopes of a big upset.

The defense will continue to impress, and will give Iowa transfer Jake Christensen some trouble. They will also be able to contain the Panthers' running game.

The offense continues to struggle. Unless and until they open up the playbook and at least try to go north-south once in a while, we become too predictable and will be too easy to defend. Any scores for us will come from our defense giving the offense a short field.

In the end, the EIU offense will be better than our offense just enough to escape with the W. It will be much harder than expected, though, and the Trees will be one step closer to removing the ugly monkey from their backs.

In my heart, though, following the same scenario as above, ISU ends up with the ball in the final moments, and the offense gets pissed off enough to say, "ENOUGH!" They march down the field and Stutzriem throws a 40-yard TD pass on the last play, and the good guys win 21-20. Never take away a man's hope, it may be all he has!!!

I don't do predictions, but we're at home against a very tough rival. I know this team can win and that's what I'm going to call for. Here's to a victory!
 
Here's the Scenario...

I've heard that Rod Blagojevich's nephew has ties to Charleston. If he's anything like his uncle, we can give him a few $$$ to put some time-release Cramergesic/Atomic Bomb in the player jocks, which would play havoc with their "concentration" and help facilitate a Sycamore upset!

I'm not going to throw out a score but I think the guys will put a good product on the field that we are all proud of. As long as they limit the mental mistakes and give themselves a shot I will be happy. I feel good about it though. Let's go Sycamores!!!!!!!!
 
Our defense is really going to have to hold them in check for us to get an upset. It would be awesome though if the offense would finally come alive.

I really believe ISU's D will keep them in the game, but they will be on the field so much that they are going to become very tired..Lets hope the O steps up and does work. I hope my prediction is wrong.
