I like the fact that Clinks has come out and said specifically what the money will go to. Seems like a wise move. Not sure if this is how the majority of fundraisers go now, if it's the new trend but it is a good idea to just tell people what you want the money for as opposed to just asking for money and telling people what you did with it later.

This is how it's supposed to be done. Specific projects and goals. Always direct/restrict a gift to the area you wish see derive the greatest benefit. The real art in development is matchng the donors wishes with the needs of the institution.

The article implies to me that it's $4k on top of the lead gift. ISU jumped the big hurdle here (pun intended) with the first gift. Now it's imperative that they finish it off.

Same here. As a current varsity club member I'm surprised I received nothing about this initiative.

you haven't? Unreal, I know they're short on manpower, but this is something that needs to involve calling alums, fans, etc... and talking to them in person to entice donations, personal contact can help I'd think.

They sent me a birthday card a couple of weeks ago but they've yet to ask me for funds as part of the campaign. Never received any official mailing about it.

Remember folks, the new donation year begins July 1, if you donate after July 1 it counts towards the 2017-2018 school year, so after the 1st here on Saturday wold be a great time to help out ISU

I have given to the Athletic Department for over five years in a row. I have not received one request to donate to this drive. I am a little surprised.
