Funny how "husband & wife-named dorms" once faced each other along 6th St...of course, the NEW "Parsons" is now on the other side of the ISU quad and NOT a dorm.

"Opened in 1962, Erickson Hall is named after Martina C. Erickson, who served as Dean of Women 1905-1910 and was the wife of the third president of Indiana State, William Wood Parsons. The hall was converted from residential housing to administrative offices in the 1990s."

Parson Hall, the dorm, was closed in '69 and occupants moved to Jones Hall, a former women's dorm.

Not all went Jones, many of us went to Hendricks and Fairbanks

"Igor" went to Jones...

Have you any insight as to WHY Parson's residents started that tradition of hanging an oversized "monster" from the outside ledge of the dorm during Homecoming? Just a crazy college idea, or actual "legend?":disturbed:
