I just saw that they have an ISU logo fathead now! You can get it off of fathead.com. It's $90 but could be a great gift for Christmas.

I absolutely hate that Sycamore Sam logo that ISU has used in the past. I hate it, looks like a 3rd grader did it. It is just plain dumb!!! But cool that ISU now has this available!:sycamores:

Form what I read...it is free and comes with the fathead...so does ISU and Indiana State University in text....so you don't have to get Sam if you don't want

Like its been said several times all of that comes together. If there is parts you don't like you don't have to use it. As far as why Sycamore Sam is included what else would we have? A leaf..lol? This is fairly major in a way that ISU is FINALY marketing itself and getting some new merchandise out there for students/alums and fans. Might get one for my ISU room I'm working on....Now we just need some new ISU gear!

IF we have a kid running around in a 'Sam' suit; WHY wouldn't he be part of the fathead (seperate pieces are not).

IF we want to get rid of Sycamore Sam (count me in) but if the university is going to continue to have him as a mascot/spokesman, expect to see him on stuff like this.

But $90 dollars for a sticker? I still don't understand those things. Even as a gift, I wouldn't want anybody spending that much on me for something that is maybe worth 1/10 of that to in my opinion.

ahah that's fine but get a better looking image of Sam... Shouldn't you ask for a sample before you have them produce such a thing, Sam looks silly as shit in this product! lol

Got to agree with Morgan...I absolutely have no problem with Sam being a part of this...I was Sam for one basketball season! I would put it up in my son's room because he loves Sam...but the image is the issue. It is terrible. There are far more interesting and better respresentations of Sam out there...I realize that in the printing process a simplistic image of Sam is desired, but ISU has got to come up with something better than that stick figure with his arms spread like he is at the last supper.

I've explained this before in other threads, but that image is used because it is one of the Indiana State trademarks and since they're licensed to use the logo, they can use the alternates.

I mean look at it...he looks like there is literally something wrong with him... You could probably use it to teach anatomy of a fictitous woodland creature...is he supposed to be parting the red sea or welcoming people to "More. From day one."

It just looks stupid, there are far better renderings of him out there and ISU would do well to change it. Of course it takes a little money to do that, but I wuold hope that you would make that up in actual sales of merchandise over time. Simply, I pretty much buy everything I find with Sam on it for my kids. They have at least 2-3 t-shirts that have Sam on them that are not that rendering, but more cartoonish and much better!!!!
