For those that don't know lehighs star wide receiver spadola was suspended for a tweet in which he used a racial slur towards first round opponent Towson.
 
UNi Struggling offensively and can't get off the field defensively but are tied with Montana 7-7 on ESPN 2 currently.
 
After Montana's Peyton Hillis-like running back punished that UNI defense a little Montana QB Jordan Johnson Scrambles for a TD.

UNi had UM on a 3rd and 25, UM completed a 32 yard pass.

BTW, I was incorrect it's on ESPN. not ESPN 2.
4th and 2 for UNi 240 left in the half looks like UNI is going to punt.
 
UNI embarrassing themselves in this game--completely outplayed in all facets. Rennie wants no part of being in the game anymore. UNI is getting abused up front; Boothby playing pretty well, but I haven't heard Forts name?? Montana's QB Johnson is toying with UNI's defense. Montana is a very well-coached, talented team, clearly better than anyone in the MVFC, unfortunately.

Where's the running clock when you need it? 48-10, Rennie has taken a beating in this game, and is now out--his replacement just threw an interception. Wow, very disappointing showing tonight.

NDSU on ESPN3 agaisnt Lehigh a little later this afternoon. Sam Houston State is just wailing on Montana State right now on ESPN. They are WAY too fast and athletic for Montana St. Should be an interesting game next week with Montana at SHSU. Go Bison! Can't let Lehigh beat the MVFC conference champ 2 years in a row.

SDSU scored again as I'm writing this. When did teams forget how to defend the option? Good gracious, it's sickening to watch a QB get the edge routinely untouched.

I need to throw a bet towards freelance sports writer Conrad Brunner....

on next week's North Dakota State/Georgia Southern game. Conrad, former sports writer for the Indy News and then later the editor of the Indiana Pacers website, is a Georgia Southern grad. After the Sycamores played North Dakota State this season, Conrad was asking me for scouting information on NDSU figuring that they might meet up in the playoffs.
 
I wouldn't bet against GSU. They run the triple option to perfection and it helped them stay competitive against Alabama. No team in the valley or any team NDSU has played in the past year or so has that type of system.
 
Yep, it's going to be tough for NDSU; look at what Sam Houston State did to Montana State today with the option--over 400 yards rushing.
