And the Sycamores have a little mojo going all of the sudden. Still A LOT of season left to be played with ups and downs but Clink has got to be wondering why Lansing can’t make this easy.

Got to think Bradley is going to come out really pissed off, especially with the refs swallowing the whistle that last series. That said, they let Childs bully people to no calls so it all does even out in the end. Will be interesting to see how the game tomorrow is called.

One category not getting much play that is worth mentioning - Sycamores with a 1 to 5 conference games played lead over the rest of the league. Couple things:

1. Kudos to the staff and players for staying healthy and adjusting on the fly. I think they should be proud of the ability to get games played.

2. You could argue that we will not know what we need to do down the stretch to secure our seed.

3. But maybe that means less pressure down the stretch.

Tier 1 is clearly Loyola and Drake.

Tier 2 is Mo State

Tier 3 Indiana State

Tier 4 Everyone else

A win tomorrow and I think we establish ourselves as a Tier 2 team. I think those top 2/3 teams are just way better than the rest of the teams. Sycamores took a step forward today but you gotta keep it going.

And some Braves fans are talking about it. Posts 14, 17 and 18.

I'm not gonna research it, but I have a feeling that we haven't had a six-game winning streak since the Odum days....like maybe not since his Freshman year. Heck, maybe we never even had a six-game winning streak during his entire career.

C'mon Sycamores, let's keep this momentum going!

Okay, I did the research...we had a seven-game winning streak during Odum's senior year.

Can we get a little chatter? Five-game winning streak. Playing a team picked to be in the top tier of the league...and a team who is now desperate for a win. Doing it with a true freshman starting point guard. We've got a top-10 career scorer in ISU history. We're coming off a game in which we sucked at the free throw line and still pulled out a win in a closely played game. Tre Williams only scored one point...this from a guy who averages 9 per game...though he did have six boards. And now we're down another player, point guard Tobias Howard Jr.

Heck, the way I see it, we're down four players.

Howard Jr.
Jared Hankins
Kailex Stephens
Nick Hittle

Let's Go State!

I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm very nervous about this game. We've not had our traditional let down in awhile and we're going to have a Bradley team that is not happy about yesterday's finish. I'm also a little nervous how the refs will call this one.

We absolutely need to come out locked in on defense while shooting better ourselves. We essentially held on for dear life in the 2nd half so I hope this is no holdover. Shot 46% in 1H and 30% in 2H and 50% from the like which was a 25% departure from our season average. I hope Larry realized how effective he was yesterday attacking the rim so he will need to do more of the same.

Plus, it’s February lol

Ya I really thought coming in I’d live with a split. But you win this game and you can really start and look ahead...

The other thing we just haven’t talked about enough.

UNI, Valpo, Evansville left. 3-3 at worst in that stretch?? Maybe 4-2??

You win tonight the. 3rd, 4th maybe 5th in the league at worst with those games coming down the stretch. You woulda told me after that non conference slate the way we looked that we’d be looking at a 3-5 Valley finish I’d say sign me the hell up for that.

Tonight is a big basketball game.

Go Blue! Go Blue! 6 in a row, Wow! Is Lansing trying to save his job? Last game against Bradley refs let them play on that last series, glad to see no whistles determined end of game, hard nose defense last 3 minutes, came in.
Bradley will be up for this one, they want to stop their loosing streak, on the otherhand, look how we rebounded yesterday, but we better improve our foul shots, and I want to see Coop in at the end of game, that a nobrainer!! Where was Coop ??? We need him!!!
