It was the day before we were back at home and I had to wonder...

Will Chase Walker destroy us? He had a good game statistically, but thanks to Vorst he did not destroy us.
Will Kinziger destroy us? 21 points, but he did not destroy us.
Will we destroy the other ISU? Teel destroyed them.
Now that Drake, Bradley, and UNI are all in the rear view, could we finish the season strong? Hopefully.
Can we please have at least a .500 record going into StL? Possibly.
Will Bruno get his first blocked shot? Negative.

Getting old, pregame music too loud. :)
I used the decibel meter on my phone. Maximum 117+ dB's and an average of about 110. It is ridiculously loud for pregame and for some of the Spirit Squad Dance Routines. The band comes in at about 105. The PA Announcer when screaming, which he often does, is 115-117.

These are all at the low end to middle of the dangerous range for your hearing if the time is extended. I guess the real question is if 110-117 dB for two minutes of music of 10 seconds of announcer screaming will harm one's hearing. Some references I found indicate that hearing damage occurs at levels above 85 dB.

The Decibel scale is Logarithmic Base 10. When the decibel level increases by 10, the sound is 10X louder at that location. A huge difference between say 105 and 115 dB which is the range I usually detected .

Was at Allen Fieldhouse couple weeks back and they got up to 124 range. So loud. They have the record for loudest indoor stadium at 130 back in 2017

Thanks for sharing. Glad to know my mid-age isn't to blame. Will bring spiral earplugs to next year's home games.
