Don't understand why this game is still on the schedule for Wednesday evening. All 10 teams play Wednesday nite and I think all 5 home sites are in the path of the winter storm that everyone has been talking about for like a week. Couldn't they have moved the games to Tuesday, you know, out of an abundance of caution? I know its D3 and there's much less travel, but the HCAC (Rose's conf) moved all 10 of their games (men and women) to Tuesday.

Do less than 10 TO and 14-30 three point attempts make this the opportunity to get the W? What other avenues to victory are people seeing? My viewing of the posts here seem to say that the refs are good for three(ish) offensive fouls on our guys on, "moving screens," or back court hand checks. Where can 5 points be gained through officiated tactics?

If my memory is correct we actually played someone the night of that really bad ice storm we had around 10 years ago that closed all the local public schools for a week.

That’s what happened in the Wichita state game. They were already in town so the game was played.

I remember listening to that game online and you could hear every referee call and the coaches yelling. Sounded like there were about 150 people total at the game that night.

Here are the KenPom matchup stats for the game. Eventually I will start to focus more on conference-only stats, but not until we’ve at least played everyone once.

My quick takeaway - Drake isn’t great at defending the three. If we can hit our outside shots, and we’ll take a ton, we can absolutely win this game. Drake also fouls a lot, so hopefully we can take good shots from the outside or at least draw contact in the paint and at the rim.

If there was ever a matchup where we need to cut and attack the rim, this is it. Need Henry and Bledson to be on point and at least one shooter to be dead eyed tonight.

Agreed. The only issue being the two areas where Drake is vulnerable are two areas where we've struggled. We've shot better from three since conference play started, but it's still middle of the pack. Drake doesn't do a good job defending the three, so which one gives tonight? We're also one of the worst teams in D1 in getting to the free throw line, but Drake is one of the most foul-happy teams in D1.

In case you haven't seen/read Golden's game day story, Micah is out tonight with a hand injury. Neese is back.
