Awesome... I've always wondered how "alumni" teams are allowed to participate. How does that work?

They run as "unattached" hight profile races don't allow people to run "unattached" but early on in the season it's pretty common for guys to run "unattached" - it's also a good chance for the freshman to get some meets in and compete a little bit to break the monotony of practice all summer and actually racing some without using eligibility.

With all that being said the Sycamores ran very well today! Everyone who I talked to said that they looked excellent today and also showed pretty good depth. I think this a start to what could be an historic season for the Sycamores. We will see how it goes!

If the Evansville course isn't short or all downhill, then this could indeed be one helluva team. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Al's average pace was just a hair under 4:40 per mile. That's movn'....
 
Yeah I talked to a few of the guys on the team last night at the football game and they were pleased. Padget said, "we have a chance to be really good this year". He is not the first person to tell me that... I will take their word for it - if they believe that then anything is possible!
