I doubt Graves would go to St. Louis since his family lives in the Indy area
I think Graves would stay and become head coach if we upped our HC salary. I think donors would be willing to raise the pay to around 600,000 or so for Graves. He is a good coach, a solid recruiter and has ties that may help land some transfers. Let's also remember he's had a few years to learn under JS and I bet he's retained a thing or two to add to his own repertoire. IMO, Graves is likely the only chance to retain some of our current roster.

Both. A reliable source has said if Schertz leaves, they will rely on Graves to try to salvage existing players with his relationship with them. Not saying all the starting five but one and the bench, and they will pay him close to what Schertz makes now. He has turned down the IU-Indy position. ISU HAS NOT engaged any other coaches. That means one of three things. Schertz stays, Graves the associate head coach gets the nod, or ISU is just plain a dumpster fire of leadership. Occam’s razor says the simplest answer is usually the correct answer.
For a while we were showing up on lists of people in the portal contacted by us, but not for a while. That probably means something but I don’t know what.
If we don't lose a lot of people, we won't be contacting a lot of people.

Hearing Josh Schertz will be SLU next coach @studurando This came across at 10:28am on Bilikin forum. The source is the guy from the St. Louis Dispatch reporter.
So what the hell is going on ?? We saw this reporter at some recent games of the NIT at Hulman Center. If Schertz saw Curtis, what was finally discussed. Is this just a leaked rumor ?
My own thoughts, I believe he is going to Bilikin country, Why has he not denied all reports about him going else wherer ? That's exactly it, he's leaving. as much as I hope he would stay. Look we have a president leaving in a few months, no permanent AD. and NIL.

Stop believing what you hear for god sakes! He’s said openly nothing is signed and he will make a decision after the season! SLU has handled this unprofessionally and terrible all the way around so why keep believing this! Is shows how stupid this page can be at times and on rumors!!
That post is trash. Those posters on the SLU Board just keep repeating the same rumors and then quote them as fact. Its astounding how little they know about Terredise, HCJS and the Trees. They see everything through their myoptic, private school point of view. Quite pathetic actually if they weren't trying to buy our coach and team. Sort of taking the L.A. Dodgers approach to building a team.

My curiosity got the best of me and I looked at SLU page, and if we loose coach and any players to those pricks I think I will be jaded forever. Arrogant A-holes are talking like they are getting our starting 5 and how our facilities suck and we have no money. Anyone that is an ISU fan or Alumni now is the time to get engaged and donate to COC and our athletic programs. It made me so mad I went and instantly donated more to COC.

And even with all of the advantages they have over us, their program has achieved far less. No equivalent of Wooden or bird, highest NCAA tournament appearance the Elite 8 back in 1952, haven't gone as deep in the NIT as we have since 1990.
Would it make you anymore upset if I told you that the money your donating might actually be going to the players that are planning on leaving, since the coach distributes it? Are there any actual guarantees that that doesn't happen and the money is held back for next year's team?
