So I am headed to the Nike campus tonight and I see a guy in front of our SUV driving a Lexus with Sycamore plates and a Sycamore plate frame and I am with 2 Sycamore alums and we are going crazy, this it's great and we are like pull up beside him and we do and it's Kevin McKenna!!!! ahahah

The guy still has Sycamore plates on his car - that's so funny to me! Even better, the guy couldn't have been more thrilled to see us pull up next to him. He looked at us like we had lost our good minds. Nice guy I tell you, great guy!

Figured I'd share - LittleEddie, let him know it's time for new plates.

Now THATS a funny story. Nice to see Kevin still "loves" us but you're right....it is time to change them. Hysterical~

I don't about all that, we do have a coach now and McKenna left us - really would rather not have someone back who left.

But yeah I think it would be odd for him to realize what the heck some Sycamore fans would be doing all the way across the country. So it's all good - I just thought it was funny. Figured you all would get a laugh!

He still follows ISU...I know he comments from time to time about the football team and I'm pretty sure he's aware how the Syc's hoops squad is doing. I think that may be his wife's car though...she drove the Lexus SUV.

You know what...I do miss the big guy... I can remember my first K-Mac interview...I asked him about recruiting and how it was an advantage to have an NBA ring and he said "well yeah, I always want to quote Ron Burgundy and be like, 'I am kind of a big deal."...every interview with him was always worth a good laugh...

Eddie, no matter what everyone thinks (and there are plenty of opinions-- including mine), that story kind of breaks the ice. It gave me a warm feeling and I am sure it did for others. It was his decision and I know it wasn't an easy one but he did make it. Now that I have said that, it's time to beat the Cowboys-- GO TREES~

Back in his playing days when he was playing summer leagues in downtown Chicago I'd always ask him who's on his team...He'd go..."let's see, there's me...oh yeah, there's that one guy that can really shoot lights out, that's me,...there's that #30 guy, oh yeah, that's me..."

In the meantime he'd actually be playing w/ guys like Isiah Thomas and Mark Aguirre. He'll still do that schtick from time to time. He gets it from our dad who always had a good sense of humor.
