My guess its probably the hubbub servers
This. It was a 404 error I got after submitting my donation which is an internal server error.

They probably were simply overwhelmed by the traffic. Not quite sure how companies that that problem in the age of cloud computing when you can spin up resources based on demand, but I guess we could look at it as a good issue to have provided people remained persistent.

"A total of 2620 donors generously contributed $1,022,945."

Pretty sure that is more than last year. I don't think we eclipsed a cool million last year, or on any single day in the history of ISU (just a guess, I haven't done the research).

With athletics having nearly 25% of the total donations and the most individual donors.

I know the University had a goal of 2,700 donors, so they fell short by 3%; I'm not sure if they hit a $1M last year or not -- it's worth the search

I think I saw something that said they only had roughly 1900 donors last year, so a very healthy increase even if not meeting the goal.

Always good to increase the NUMBER of donors as well as how much IS donated.

As Syc/Mind stated in a different post, no one can foresee what COVID will (ultimately) do to Universities; athletics aside, attendance will be altered, fund-raising will be altered, funds FROM the state of Indiana may be, likely will be altered...

Which is exactly why everything should be done to rebalance the athletic department into the programs that can bring in non-gameday revenue streams.
