Happy birthday man! I know folks want to give you a hard time and all but they can't handle your youthful exuberance, keep telling them what's up. That's what I do and look what it has done for me - a love hate relationship with everyone on the entire board.

They will hate you because your opinions suck, but they will love you because you have one!

Just think man 1 more year you can go to ShowMe's! or do you have to be 21 to get in that place? AHHH heck who cares!

Not to pick on this one thing... but I've seen it used incorrectly many times on this board. I was trying to find a polite way to correct people, but I think this will do just as well.

Morgan, please don't take it as being picky... It just reflects on the university when it is continually mis-used.
 
I think you have to understand something really quickly, when some of you post you put a lot of time into your posts and you read them over before you post them and make sure that everything is spelled correctly.

When I type I rarely if ever pay much attention to how things are spelled or punctuation. So pretty much if spell check does not catch it then I am going to make mistakes. For some reason when I type the word lose I have a tendency when typing fast to spell it loose, 4Q hates it... lol Never the less I have never been a strong speller, but I guess it's hard to understand why it's important on a message board. If you get the just of what I am saying then I am not sure what else matters.

Not to mention posts like that usually take away from the topic or discussion at hand. For instance I wanted this thread to be about the celebration of Landurs b-day but it has turned into a spelling class and seeing as how Landrus just left spelling class before getting on the bus, he is tired of spelling lessons. For gosh sakes it's Monday and he got a new set of words today.

I understand your side Morgan... I hope that you can understand the other side of it. We know that people from outside of ISU read these boards and use it as a representation of the students that ISU produces.

Don't mean to upset anyone... just trying to explain why there are some that try to correct things like that.

BTW, happy birthday JLandrus.
 
LOL! Definitely not upset, I have things proofed by 3 or 4 people when I am sending something out publicly, I am used to making spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. I understand what you are saying, but I don't think it says anything about the education you are getting at Indiana State because maybe you don't know how to properly use are or our in a sentence.... It more negatively speaks to my high school (Terre Haute South), my middle school (Honey Creek), my elementary school (Dixie Bee), my preschool (Montessori School) and lastly my parents. lol It speaks to those educators (my mother is a teacher) more than it says anything about Indiana State. And heck I did pretty good in my business report writing class in college, think I got a low A OR a high B.

Furthermore I think this proves that I am willing to discuss or argue about anything... lol The fact that I found something wrong with what you were saying is actually pathetic... I have been known to cry foul over spilled milk, I laugh it off at a later date.

Landrus when you turn 21 I want to get the distinct pleasure of buying you your first brewski or drink of choice... I know four years from now I will be the UFC welter weight champion of the world but...I love the Sycamores and as fans we have to stick together!
