Hopefully he remains just an "emergency" QB for the year and Perish sets records. It's a great testament to his athleticism that the coaches are thinking outside of the box like this. He was an incredibly welcome relief as a punter last year after some difficult years for the punt team. I hope he makes 1st team All America--as a punter.

Yeah, we have five QBs on the depth chart and Pride, so I would hope this would be an extreme emergency situation, or more for fake punts, but that said I think it's a good idea. It is nice to have a legitimate punter.

Let's hope this is no more than him working on his throwing abilities on the sideline when he's not punting. For a team whom isn't certain who will step forward and take the starting QB job, this seems silly to spend any organized activities allowing the punter to take snaps that are needed for one of the 5 current QB's.

This is something a perennial power can do because it's a luxury.
