I don’t follow recruiting as closely as ya all. Last top 100 recruit to come to Indiana State?
Have we EVER had one?

Bird?
Was Jake Kelly a top-100 recruit?
David Moss?

The names get leaner and leaner from there.

And I swear if someone mentions a player from before Bird, I'll lose it.

Manny Arop was 88th in 2009 class.

As an actual recruit? Predates recruiting services. Rivals and Scout were the first two dot com recruiting services and they were founded in 98 and 2001. Gant was just inside the top 200. Scott and Kitch was just inside the top 300. Cobie Barnes, Etherington, Kessinger, RJ, Cutter, Stinson were in the 350s or so. Barnes and Hankins were in the 400s. Most of the guys we get were considered 500+, especially during the early to mid 2000s after the fall off.

JUCO we've had several top 100 guys -- Thomas, Reed, Daanish, Walker, Moore.

EDIT: I also don't think they did the Rivals150 and Scout100s until several years after they started. Maybe 2003/2004. Or they didn't archive it because I just tried to search for the late 90s classes and couldn't find anything.

I hope you have notes for that. If not, you are a genius.

Jason, what about Marico Stinson and Bronson Kessinger? For some reason i feel like they were rated high.....I'm probably wrong though.

He mentioned Stinson. I always loved that dude… He could absolutely fire. It’s been so many years I don’t remember his game well enough but I can’t imagine he wouldn’t be lit in this system.

I think JSW was about #2 in mr basketball. Don’t know about Pillow or Newsom.

Indy Star's All-Star book indicates Williams was 3rd in Mr BBall voting -- I think Stew Robinson out of Anderson Madison Hts was #2

Pillow wore #5 in the All-Star series -- in that era, the player's jersey ## was where they finished in voting - correct?

I think Newsom was 3rd in voting
