There are two people on SP who could use a prayer, or two.

One had a MAJOR Heart Attack before tip off last Saturday, and another, whose wife was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

Prayers for each of these people, those close to them and their medi

Thanks for informing us, and please keep us posted. We care.cal teams.

Done, thanks for letting us know.

Not sure if Gotta Have was referring to my wife as the one who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, but that is the situation here. it has metastasized to two ribs on her left side. She is currently awaiting a decision on acceptance into a trail treatment in lieu of chemo. If not accepted she will undergo chemo @ IU North. Prayers are greatly appreciated......Thanks so very much!!

Sorry to hear that. Good luck on the journey.

You may ask your doctors about if a ketogenic diet would be helpful during treatment. I've been seeing studies recently about how it is helpful in depriving cancer cells from nutrients they need/like to continue growth.

Also hearing Tom is recovering and doing well -- pissed he is going to miss the next Sycamore game. Go figure.

He is probably one of the Top 10 Sycamore fans in existence. I remember when I moved back to Terre Haute briefly when my grandmother was first diagnosed with Leukemia, I spent like 3-4 months at Sarah Scott before we moved back West. I had him for history and he had a GIANT Indiana State logo on his wall IIRC and talked glowingly about the place.

That always stuck with me.

Prayers up to everyone and sorry to hear about your circumstances.

I got to know Tom because of this place. I’ve enjoyed getting to know him better because of this place and his seats are close to mine. I inow he’s got some friends that visit the forum also.

Yes I was Chief...take care brother!

I would like to add one add one last comment to this post. My wife is a non-smoker, at least for the last 15 years. The only way the cancer was discovered was we both had one of those St. Vincent $49 hear scans that you see advertised. Her's came back with suspicious shadows on right lung suggesting follow-up which we did. That is when two tumors were discovered in the right lung and two ribs on her left side. She had NO symptons whatsoever of this evil disease. So my message is to Please get ANNUAL physicals regardless of age or assumed health.......GO SYCAMORES!!!
