And she does it again - no reason to act surprised at this point, it's old hat. YOu win 4 national titles and make it look like clock work. That's the way to end your career at Indiana State. For a final time, the best athlete in Indiana State history. Make a case for any other athlete while they were at Indiana State... She is the very best at her event for the last 2 years, she has dominated the MVC for 4 years and the nation for 2 years.

Good luck with your professional career! Once a Sycamore always a Sycamore!

It was a gutsy decision to pass after her miss at 14-5.25 to move up. That's what makes her a champion--great confidence, great work ethic, great athleticism, and great coaching. Congratulations to a true champion who makes all of the Sycamore Nation very proud! Also, congratulations and thank you to Erica Moore and Lauren Martin on their great careers and performances!

Kylie Hutson Set New NCAA Meet Record

I have found only one source (Oregon Live!) which recognizes that Kylie Hutson established a new NCAA championship meet record in the pole vault. The prior mark was 14-feet, 5 1/2 inches, set by BECKY HOLLIDAY of Oregon State in 2004. It may have been the only NCAA championship meet record set duing the four-day event.

I was in Eugene and the public address announcer, who acts like he is on top of situations like that and usully is, did not mention it either (at least during the time I was watching). The meet records are published in the program and on assorted banners posted or suspended around Hayward Field.

Kylie is amazing -- what a competitor! Congratulations to her and to Erica, Lauren Martin, Major Clay, as well as John McNichols, John Gartland, Jeff and Angie Martin and the rest of the very competent coaching staff.
