Thousands moving to Texas.....Governor talking about succeeding form the union, fast track to death penalty, better options in terms of state taxes for small business, better weather in most of the state, more resources, several fortune 500 companies headquartered in Texas, near the ocean, more room, independent nature of Texans, hmmm...I wonder why people are moving there. Oh yea, I tried to find the article I read in USA Today about a month ago and haven't been able to find it but, article basically said that Texas was the first state to recover from recession and that property values are actually increasing with foreclosures being less than 48 other states.
Texas is a good place to be right now. But to build this thing is just crazy to me. I get it, in Indiana we have built large bball arenas...not that big and not that much money...of course that is probably because the attendance at HS basketball games is down so much that school districts realise that they couldn't fill a huge new arena anyway...but that is a whole other debate.
Well, we'll agree to disagree -- I spent too much time in that piece of territory; I'm not going to touch their governor issue but tx has about as much chance of seceding from the union as any of the CSA states in the 1860s but I'd be glad to see them go.
Fast track to the death penalty -- definitely a discussion for a different forum; pro-business?? not sure if that's the case across the entire state
I left at the first opportunity and have YET to regret it.
