Devin Thomas pf/c -28th ranked jc player will be here..we have 2 rides for sure and most likely a 3rd one to fill

when you mention a likely third, are you alluding to Scott, or someone else? I understand if you're speculating and don't want to share / know and aren't at liberty to say.....

Scott is here to stay. I don't even know why people keep bringing his name up - ridiculous to be honest. Pure speculation to suggest such a thing.

Likely Demonte that's been the general consensus. He and Franklin given the minutes and role they had on a bad team - it would have been shocking to see one or both back. Franklin was announced. Just because the other wasn't doesn't mean it didn't happen.

We have some work yet to do this off season. I'm a bit in the minority here but if one doesn't get filled it's not the end of the world. Lansing had two very capable walk-ons on the bench last season.

I totlly agree with your first 2 paragraphs. As far as your last paragraph, why not spilt the school between the 2 deserving walk on players? As far as remewing it for the following season, just see how it works out. See what our needs and recruits work out. They should understand going it that it is a 1 time deal.

I would leave it open for a grad transfer or a mid-season transfer or for any contingency that comes along. A big man might drop out of the sky. Walk ons came in as walk ons and unless they show their game on the court a scholarship should not be used for them no matter how nice of guys they are. If another roster player is needed get another walk on.

Because those walk-ons are going to continue to be a part of this program even if you don't offer them a scholership. They will need to earn that and it's probably not realistic to think they did enough in practice during their redshirt seasons to earn money. We have a lot of needs and we need to try and fill those with capable players - I don't we need to just fill them to fill them. I am sure they've found some sources of aid for those walk-ons.

I am glad to hear you echo what I have been thinking with regards to Scott. Hopefully he's back healthier next year.

As to the idea of a grad transfer, have we ever dabbled in that?
