The project was designed to pinpoint locations with the highest concentration of nitrates and ammonium along Otter Creek and help the Ouabache Land Conservancy reduce human impacts on the ecosystem.

Did they test for the origin location of E-coli bacteria, which is the #1 threat to human health @ Otter Creek and NTH residents?

Reminds me of Alcoa during the early 90's, which gave $5m to the National Institute of Health for research in Alzheimers, where none (0) of the five (5) pinpointed areas addressed workplace exposure to airborne contaminants (including the speciation of specialized lubricants used by Alcoa in industrial processing).

If this group was truly interested in protecting the Otter Creek Watershed, they'd create an Otter Creek Conservancy District which would include provisions for flood control (see 1972 proposal) for all of NTH, not just a 365 acre ecologic bufferzone of property now owned by Greg Gibson.
