And I also read that he is not 6'10 either. Still say you can be in the upper echelon in the Valley every season with 6'7 & 6'8 post players who have heart and will go after the ball as they are usually more athletic and skilled than big projects who almost never make the grade.

Ala Myles Walker??

I mean he had his short comings - but I would take him back on this team in a heart beat!

Always an advantage to be blessed w/ BOTH heart & height (HH)...add a spice of skill (usually derived from specialized coaching), and you've got a product ready to do battle.

Totally agree. But is there that many 6'7 guys out there with the skills you want in your center? Most guys that size are taught to chuck 3's and try to play out on the permeter. The skills of being a really strong post defender and rebounding aren't being taught as much as they used to. Walker was borderline a mess on offense but he had the mentality you want in your center. He was always willing to battle down low on D. So I totally think a 6'8 center can work but it's a lot easier said then done when it comes to finding the right guy. I think Rhett is about an inch or two too short for the position but maybe he could develop that junkyard dog mentality? I think that's his best shot at helping the team in the future.
