Does anyone know where I can find ISU wallpaper and ringtones (ISU fight song) for my cell phone? There used to be a link on gosycamores.com, but I think they lost the provider. Thanks.
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
I will send them to Boda and see what he can do about getting them posted...I know that I have March On, Alma Mater and Wabash Cannonball....
That would be great, Sack. Megan McKenna responded to my most recent inquiry, and the prospect of having cell phone downloads available on the athletics site didn't sound too promising:
Our website provider XOS Sports is the brains behind that- they used to supply those 'toys' and recently dropped those features. I spoke with John Sherman about it, and was told that until they pick up another cell application supplier, will not support those functions. Kind of a bummer. I will keep you posted if I hear anything else.
Is the ISU phone app through blackboard?? Just curious..
if they can deliver it across iPhone, Android and blackberry at the same time that is even better than what I have seen.
Either way that is great. If anyone happens to look at this site that is a part of this, make sure it allows alumni to update their contact info!!!! That would improve a great deal of things for both the alumni office and for ISU in general.
Just was at an alumni event this weekend where alumni were having to wait for like 5 or more minutes just to write their name in on a list...well if there had been an app that they could download on their phone and input their info..there or later, that would make it sooooooo much better!! And allow dozens and dozens to do it at the same time...if not hundreds at this event.
apparently they have tried that before and it made it worse...bottlenecked the line even more because some alumni didn't understand what to do, some took much longer to type, etc.
what I am suggesting is that if it were an app, then alumni could just "check in" or submit their change info "if they had an app capable phone" remember many do not have a smart phone. And an Ipad makes sense for alumni like me or you, but I can't tell you how many alumni wouldn't be able to figure that thing out. So they need both at an event and just having one or two computers continues the problem of bottlenecking because alumni still have to wait...but if you gave alumni a card when they got there that told them about the app. and then you said, "you can wait in line or you can go to the app and input your info" that would make the line much shorter because I would just download the app, whereas some would still just sign in. I am sure you get what I am saying
