ISU recruit Deja Mattox scored 12 points Monday night in the All-Stars 86-80 loss to the Junior All-Stars at Washington to be the team's third top scorer. Miss Basketball Brittany Rayburn of Attica scored 15 and Alex Guyton of Bloomington South got 13 to be the top two scorers. Both are going to Purdue.
Deja scored 12 points and snared five rebounds Wednesday night to help lead the Indiana All-Stars past the Indiana Junior All-Stars, 89-77, at Marion. Mattox started and hit 3-for-3 threes in the first half, scoring ten points, and is credited with jumpstarting the victors.
The All-Stars got scoring from 12 players. Carmel?s Danielle Havel led the team with 14 and Avon?s Kaley May added 13. Miss Basketball Brittany Rayburn of Attica scored nine and 6-3 Alex Guyton of Bloomington South got six. Rayburn and Guyton are prize Purdue recruits. Ben Davis? Alexandra Bentley led the Junior girls with 24 points. Bentley got 27 in the Junior All-Stars' 86-80 upset victory at Washington Monday night.
Since Deja first committed to ISU she has been listed at heights ranging from 5-10 to 6-foot. Duiring All-Star workouts and exhibition games she has been consistently lusted at 6-foot.
This is not a timely post but, while reviewing Indiana All-Star exhibition game statistics, I found that I had preserved the boxscore of the North-South All-Star game played in Vincennes in April. I do not think it was ever posted on this site.
