Harry could put the wraps on the MVC "Player of the Week" by packaging WSU's hotshot PG, Clevin Hannahs, who's the KEY to the Shox offense. Is stopping two of the best MVC guards in back-to back games possible?

PPG Toure' Murry 12.6
REB Toure' Murry 5.2
AST Clevin Hannah 4.9
FG% J.T. Durley 49.5
FT% Clevin Hannah 92.2
3PT% Clevin Hannah 42.9
BLK J.T. Durley 0.7
STL Toure' Murry 1.6

I think it's possible for us to stop WSU...I just hope we can score enough to beat them. We have a great record this year when at least 3 guys reach double figures.

I just hope his x-rays are negative and his boot comes off. If so, then I think he can.

It's an ankle x-ray dude, they are almost always negative - about the only time you don't get an negative x-ray report is when the player is literally carried off the floor. If he had done major damage I contest he would not have been able to step to the line and drain 2 free throws. I am not a trainer but do have some basic knowledge and that boot was simply a precautionary measure- just like Dwight Freeney wearing a boot.

Now if they go in a do a MRI then they might find some ligament damage, but that x-ray aint going to show shit. Maybe a bone chip or something, I mean he has been playing basketball his whole life - this was your basic ankle sprain or tweak I am sure he will be fine, maybe I am out of bounce speculating on injuries like that since I don't really know anything - didn't even have the chance to see a replay.

The point is - those x-ray results mean little to me. Even if they come back negative, that doesn't mean he doesn't have major ligament damage that wouldn't show up on a x-ray.

Please oh karma don't make this be a "kiss of death" post...

Please oh karma don't make this be a "kiss of death" post...

You all saw him step up and shoot the free throws - is anything I said in my kiss of death post un true? Nope, that's really not the case and if it does happen to show structural damage then my post will have nothing to do with it.

Let's talk about the Colts for example - they talk about next man up, next man up all the time. When guys like Bob Sanders and Marlin Jackson went down with season ending injuries someone had to step up. Could we afford to loose Harry at this point in the season? Hell naaa - but no one player makes a team and if that's the case then it is what it is. We have done a pretty good job with the next man up mantra, you consider Kelly goes down for the season and Lathan has missed several games now and this team is still clinging to 4th in the Valley, that's rather amazing! A huge credit to the coaching staff and guys like Harry for not packing the bags - but I am not to worried about Harry's x-ray today, whatever happens happens. I wish him the best - lord knows we need him.

My least favorite part of this situation is that Harry was quoted in the TribStar as saying he heard a "pop".

Yeah I caught that part of it - but that could really mean anything. I could sit here and roll my ankle over in my shoe sitting at my desk right now and it would pop - if you have had enough ankle injuries your ankles often do pop.

I would say if felt something pop that it would be related to ligament damage, similar to what they are talking about with Freeney - it's just not very often that anything turns up on an x-ray. I wish someone with a little more medical knowledge could comment to this - I am just not qualified to make some of the assumptions I have made.

I guess watching the injury happen and from having sprained my ankle before, watching him step up to the line and hit a few free throws and then even playing one possession on defense (I think that's when he was taken out) I can't imagine it being really bad. Maybe, maybe something where he has to miss a game or 2 but nothing more than that.

I don't suspect he will miss any time.

What is the situation with Lathan? I expected to see more minutes from him last night. Is his injury still nagging?

He wasn't able to go in the second half, so that would seem to be the case. He only played two minutes. Harry and Reed have kept us going without him, but if Harry is hurt, too, it's going to be a tall order to beat you guys on the road. Not that it isn't already.
