Guessing if they were coming to ISU we would already know about it. We already have three transfer QBs coming in anyway. Good luck to them though, and all of the other FBS QBs across the country who are transferring, many from much better programs than IU.

I was reading some of the comments when this article was posted on Facebook and most of them were pretty negative towards them. Its pretty humorous to see how IU fans react when someone leaves the school, because as you know Indiana is the best.

so who is playing qb for them when we play them this upcoming season?

I heard rumors about the Baker kid since the middle of the season....

and had several Indy media people ask me about the rumors of Baker possibly transferring to Indiana State. I think that I posted that question/comment/observation back in late October or November. And Kirl isn't a major surprise either. Didn't I read on here a couple of weeks ago about a rumor that Kiel visited Indiana State?

I hear that too. In the thought process of the transfers we know that pride played wide receiver last year.

I make this post as a Boilermaker fan, but did anybody take a close look at Kiel in the picture associated with the article? This might explain why IU was 1-11 last year. To me, the picture clearly shows him getting ready to throw a pass and he is not gripping the football with the laces. The last time I tried, it was pretty difficult to throw a football with any velocity (or a spiral for that matter) without gripping the laces.

I've seen NFL QBs throw without the laces......

as a matter of fact, I've seen Big Ben in Pittsburgh do it a few times.

Those quick screens make it impossible for a player to grip the laces perfectly...by looking at the way he is perpendicular to the sideline it looks like...he would do
Just fine.

Yeah, Pride played WR last year at Minnesota because they were loaded at QB....

and wanted to get Pride on the field somewhere to take advantage of his athletic skills. He was asked to move to WR last spring by the new UM coaching staff. He did it but he's had his heart set on playing quarterback at the college level. I have a feeling that he's going to be a multi-purpose guy for the Sycamores -- he'll see work at quarterback, receiver, maybe as a kick/punt returner. He'll be a Wildcat guy. A dual-threat player.

I would have liked to see us get one of these guys. Wright-Baker and Bell would be the most dynamic backfield in FCS. Kiel would also be a great pocket passer. Nothing wrong with our transfers, I just think thsee two would be better right away for us.

Agreed. Of the two, I think I'd prefer Wright-Baker. From what I've seen of him, it's my non-expert's opinion that he seems to be a QB who can run and pass well. Kiel seems to be less mobile, and I've heard there were always concerns at IU about his accuracy. Just my two cents...

shoot...

this thread is as bad as the kiel to here, there, anywhere thread...

guessing greenwell is too busy with school to track moderator stuff!

Idk if you have noticed but we bring in quite a few of these FBS transfers. Just because it's IU, 4q throws a fit...
We have started similar threads about different FBS transfers from different schools (BYUs heaps comes to mind)...the Kiel thread needs to be moved but strangely I can't move it from my phone.

Just a simple comment. At least the way I read this thing, I don't have a fricking idea which "area" it comes from. So why in the hell do we even bitch about it? I suppose there is a way to read only Sycamore Pub or Sycamore basketball but I haven't done that since way back in the beginning. Much ado about nothing, if you asked me.

What doesn't 4Q throw a fit about? A person could say the sky was blue and the grass was green and 4Q would make :censored: sure to let you know that you failed to describe the colors in their proper shade.
