according to the Indianapolis Star.....

The NCAA says it has found major infractions involving all 14 sports at IUPUI.

The NCAA said today that IUPUI allowed erroneous eligibility certification for 97 student-athletes from the 2003-04 through 2006-07 years, demonstrating a lack of institutional control and a failure to monitor by the university.

A former academic adviser was cited for unethical conduct for his refusal to cooperate with the NCAA during its investigation.

The school, which is Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, will receive three years probation and lose scholarships. It will also vacate a number of wins, including 18 victories by the men’s basketball team in 2003-04; 14 wins by the women’s basketball team in 2006-07; and 40 victories by the volleyball team from 2004-06.

IUPUI athletic director Michael Moore did not immediately return a phone message. The university noted in the release that no IUPUI student-athletes, coaches or athletics department administrators knew of the violations.

The NCAA really knows how to schedule these releases, don't they...such resolve. If the letters were "USC," the press release would be in July of 2020!

Great one-line in the IndyStar comments; basically, "...KenSUCKy must have done something really bad for the NCAA to comedown THIS HARD on IUPUI"

Coincidence? Just saw this on ESPN. Tim Floyd was hired today at UTEP, he previously was at USC. "Infractions" occured with OJ Mayo some 2-3 years ago. The case went to the NCAA a few months ago....decision hasn't been made yet. :eek7:

"The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky, it will probably slap another two years' probation on Cleveland State." - Tark the Shark.

Meanwhile, Lane Kiffin just had Snoop Dogg help Seantrell Henderson's dad get his demo out.
