last time we lost at home to Bradley was 2009, now is NOT the time to let that happen again. I expect this to be a win, this would be an "inexplicable" loss if we were to lose this one. It'll probably be close as all our games are though.

Seems like most of the conference teams have only one or two guys carrying the load. This is a copy from a poster on the Bradley board that evaluates the Braves after last night's home loss to Missouri State ........................."This team is hard to watch in that there appears to be low basketball IQ. I think we played the first 10 minutes very well and maybe 5 minutes in the second half well. Our defense can lead to good offense, but we have trouble with a half court offense. We let Gulley and Marshall take over and there were many defensive lapses due to inattention. When Lemon is out of the game, we cannot score and when he is in the game, we just hope he finds his shot before he commits a turnover. I do not have any advise for Geno this year, but I am going to drink some beer at the next home game."

Statistically speaking, this game should be a blowout.

Bradley currently has the worst true shooting percentage in the league, lowest actual three point shooting percentage, lowest A/TO in the league and turns the ball over 21.5% of the time they touch it. Defensively, teams are shooting 52% from the floor inside the 3 point line and getting to the line a lot. I'd love to see us pressure the hell outta 'em. Offensively, this has Khristian Smith's name written all over it as I'm not sure they have a guy that can match up defensively with him in the game I watched last week.

Typical, Glass half empty approach...

Watched bits and pieces of their game against MSU last night. Couple areas we should take advantage of... 1. They are not very deep and only have 2 or 3 guys that can really score the ball. 2. They make a ton of bone head plays with the basketball. A lot of it probably comes from WL being their PG. He is athletic as hell and can get hot BUT I wouldn't want him being my PG. He makes some really questionable decisions with the ball. Cant let him get going though because he can kill you if you let him. 3. They don't have any consistent outside shooting. IF early in the game we struggle to defend them man to man we have to try a zone and make them beat us there.

Pickett could be a problem for us on the inside. He is kind of a poor's man Carl Hall. He'll hurt us on the glass if our bigs aren't ready to battle. The only other potential problem for us is they are every bit as athletic as us across the board and probably more so in a few spots. If we are sloppy with the basketball on offense they will turn those into easy baskets at the other end. We limit TO's and limit them on the offensive glass we should come out on top!

Don't be afraid of success! Embrace it!

Oh and yes last night was close but the previous 6 wins were all by double figures. Yes I know this group is totally capable of laying an egg against an inferior opponent ( countless times).. Whats the fun in believing we will going in though? lol I'd get that mentality if we had lost our last 3 or something.

I think we need a "send a message to the rest of the league" type game.....a major blowout.....25+......just to give the league something to chomp on......

If there is any team we're going to do that against, Bradley is it. Our strengths and their weaknesses. If we can throw Lemon off his game and get him to turn the ball over, it could be a long day for them. They do have some nice athletes though so you never know.

Something I don't like hearing, but it's true:

Bradley Coach Geno Ford on Hulman Center

"It's kind of an odd place to play," Ford said. "It's a big cavernous building that doesn't get very loud. If we can get off to a good start, that's always key to a road game, especially for a group with a lot of new faces that hasn't had a lot of success on the road."
