Jason, i thought all upper bowl seats were $5?

Nope, $8 for adults, $6 for kids. With TicketMaster fees, those become $9.75 and $7.75.

My suggestion to the ticket staff is put the "bad angle" sections at $5 for any ticket -- that means basically any section besides 202-206 and 212-216.

People always say you can't do this sort of thing, but other schools have. I believe Creighton is one example. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they used to give tickets away just to put bodies in those upper level seats and as ticket purchase demand increased, the free supply dwindled.

If you believe in the law of averages or "bounce theory", we could be in store for an ISU blowout on Wednesday.......MS after that hard fought/emotional/disappointing loss is likely to "bounce" on Wednesday and under perform.......whereas we should over perform given our horrid shooting yesterday.......

I feel more confident about this game than I did about the Drake game. I agree with something that was already said, that the Bears will prob be out of steam (literally and figuratively) after having gone to OT vs the Shockers. If we take advantage of that, we should be able to win by double digits....if not, it'll probably be a Bradley game all over again.

Great suggestion! We need to start doing some free thinking and for once think outside the "box"! Tired of hearing we can't do this or we have never done that or someone who paid a few dollars more might complain!! Stop all this nonsense and pack the damn place--whatever it takes--while we have a solid team that is winning. If we don't back this team --this year--and get creative--I for one don't want to hear a damn thing about our crowd size and lack of support!
ISU needs to seize this opportunity and also be aware that there are a lot of folks struggling financially when it comes to being able to take their families/children to a game! I don't care what u do but pack the place even if it takes some kind of promotion where you sell--say 2,000 tickets for a dollar a ticket the afternoon/evening of the WS game!

10 years or so ago I went through some tough financial times and I usually scraped together enough gas money to get to the Hulman Center and stood around in front hoping someone was giving away a free ticket as all I had left in my pocket was enough to buy a ticket. If I am not mistaken they were either $6 or maybe $8 then? Most of the time someone offered me a ticket and I think I only had to pay a couple of times during the whole season. Just saying.

If I have an extra ticket, I always try to find someone to give it to. I'd rather see more butts in the seats. I wish some of these companies that have several season tickets would find a way to give them to people that want them.

Will be interesting. If you watched Lansing's post game presser he stated that they pretty much took the week off to preserve health and that won't happen this week. Said they will work on offense against the zone defense so I'd imagine that should be markedly improved if Missouri State plans on throwing it at us Wednesday night. Here is that interview:

Can we PLEASE beat the Bears so we can be undefeated when we play the Shockers!

Such a big deal to go into Wichita undefeated.

GO SYCAMORES!

Yes let us keep this home streak alive and go 5-0 to Wichita State. All year they have said that we have the best shot at beating them. Let's show them why and beat these next two. So far this MVC season I've been impressed. The guys have come to play and good teams win when things aren't falling.

It's not like we've played a bad game at WS in the last 3 years......Triple OT Loss three years ago.....5 point loss 2 years ago......Won last year......our guys shouldn't be intimidated........."been there, done that"......

No excuses acceptable. MUST protect home court to contend in this league. No if's, and's or but's. Always talked about but rarely happens that you win them all; this is year to get'r done.

This is true. But then again... with the Shockers this year, every game is a must win!!! Keep winnin' Trees!!!

Hate to keep saying it every thread, but we need to come out and be aggressive going to the basket. We are 11-0 when we make more free throws than our opponent and I'm not sure that Missouri State is a very deep team and we also need to make sure someone is boxing out Gulley on every shot attempt -- we also happen to be 10-0 when out rebounding our opponent.

Saying he could be out 3-4 weeks, which is better than a season ending injury, but still bad news. Hate to see him hurt not only for the kid but for the program.

While this will make the game easier to win (still not a guarantee though) it doesn't make me feel good. I would rather play each team straight up, don't want to win just because other teams lose guys to injury.

Hope he gets well soon.
