Still early enough in the conference season to turn it around. But after the Bradley game, also feels like we’re unraveling.

Reaching double-digit wins was my hope given our situation. Should now happen, but wasn't expecting us to sit at 9 for so long.
Remember when we would have a collapse in early to mid february, seemingly every year for a long stretch? Maybe that just hit this team early? I don't know why that always happened during the Lansing years, but maybe it's hit this team too, only earlier. It would be a great way to end that slump with a big win over Drake, but we will have to see a remarkable difference in defensive intensity, focus and execution. Hopefully that embarrassing loss helps open their eyes to the fact that there has to be more than just offense. We shall see.

Similar to last season there is A LOT of free tickets being given out for Saturday. I honestly don't expect us to win but I better see some fight and pride in this team or we're in big trouble.
Defense ain't changing now boys. What we've got is what we've got. HCMG said early on our defense wasn't good. Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of having a rim protector (or anyone else for that matter) committed to defend. Hell, if you recall last year's team was horrible defensively. Avila certainly wasn't a good defender and still isn't.
It's been two days since our drubbing in Peoria and I have to wonder...
Will we bounce back or lay an egg?
Will we lead late in the game and then lose?
Will Drake lead this game wire to wire?
Why won't our guys cut and slash more often, way more often?
Will we press them on defense after our made shots? Is that even a good idea?
Can we somehow get Stirtz into foul trouble?
Can we somehow get Abreu into foul trouble?
Can we somehow get Mascari into foul trouble?
Can we straight-up get Manyawu into foul trouble?
Manyawu and Ferguson shoot worse than 50% at the FT line, should we Hack-a-Shaq them?
Can we score more than the 57.29 points that Drake allows?
Drake averages 31 rebounds a game, could we exploit this please?
Which of our guys is due for a career game?
Am I the only one annoyed that Drake is having a successful season when it should be a rebuilding year?

1. From a scheme standpoint no, but if the players want this to turn around they will have to change their effort on D.
2. We haven't had a rim protector since Emondre Rickman.
3. In conference play last season we were actually average defensively. Mainly Robbie not being good is what drug us down.

Some guy on the ISU fan page on Facebook took your before the game questions you did from the last game and posted em on there for the Drake game almost word for word. I thought last year's team didn't care so much about defense. They were just happy to outscore opponents. This year's team doesn't have that luxury.
