need to win this game to potentially avoid playing on Thursday in St Louis. If we lose games like this at home things won't be looking good.

The Indiana State Sycamores play their first Missouri Valley Conference home game on Saturday, January 2 against Loyola. The game is set for a 2:00 p.m. (ET) tip-off and can be heard locally on 95.9 FM The Duke as well as online via a link on GoSycamores.com. This game will be broadcast locally on WTWO-TV as well as world-wide on The Valley On ESPN3. The Sycamores are 6-7 on the season and had won three in a row before falling on the road to Evansville on Wednesday night. Brenton Scott led the way with 13 points versus the Purple Aces. Loyola is 7-6, 0-1 MVC after having dropped their conference opener at home to Southern Illinois. Milton Doyle leads the way with a 12.9 ppg average.

Wonder if any of the Sycamores still have the funky taste in their mouth carrying over from last year's embarrassing MVC Arch Madness ass whooping? It has to rank as one of the worst losses in ISU basketball history, not only in point margin but lack of "fire" by ISU.

If they're any kind of competitors they do. My guess is that they haven't forgotten it.

And Loyola hasn't forgotten either. They are gong to hungry repeat that butt kicking and laugh at us all the way home.

Yes, but psychology doesn't work that way. Revenge is a MUCH stronger motivator than 'this will be another easy victory."

Was supposed to be motivating for the entire off season, and we see how effective that has been.

I doubt it plays much (if any) of a role at all.

Alumni Basketball Band today at the game! Should be nice and loud in the Hulman Center!

The "loudness" will likely be the byproduct of ECHO EFFECT in an empty HC.

Latching on to the "confidence" thing, not sure that TH fans are too optimistically unified...thus, my projection of 3,000 at most. With ISU kids in town, might be 3,500.

Any "special promotions" for groups by ISU? These are perfect times where ISU opens the door to children FREE of charge as a "marketing tool" for the future. What have they got lose, having a likely 6,000 empty seats?

Dont know much and havnt heard anything about Loyola this year. Are they underachieving this year? Did they graduate Doyles sidekicks? I remember they had a few solid role players the previous years
