They are MUCH more athletic than us (which is a lot of teams). And....we all know how that goes. They gonna kill us on the boards and turn us over. Pretty predictable.

It's game day for our MVC stand-alone game vs UIC and I hate to wonder...

What the hell has happened to our season?
How in the hell did we defeat Belmont and Illinois State?
How in the hell has UIC won six in a row?
Should we be scared as hell to play UIC?
What in the hell will it take for us to beat UIC?
What in the hell is wrong with UIC fans that they never show up?
Why won't our guys play like they're mad as hell?
Will Coach Graves EVER be mad as hell?
If beating UIC is considered a good win for us, does that mean that hell has frozen over?

Probably.

But one thing this team is is predictably unpredictable. Right when we seem to figure it out, we suck the next couple of games. Once all hope is loss, we pull a rabbit out of our hats. The way we’ve looked the last couple of outings, I’m thinking we actually play decent today?

I will be there. I’ve seen them beat Milwaukee, Ball State, Belmont (3 of our best games)

How UIC is 6-4 in the MVC is beyond me
They got healthy. Their PG Crawford is a playmaker. They also lead the conference in offensive rebounding which is crazy to say because they aren’t the biggest team in the conference.

We'll see tonight, but my guess is they prioritize it versus most teams telling their dudes to not follow their shot and everyone else to instantly get back to prevent transition offense. If our bigs can secure rebounds and fire quick outlets, you could have some fast break opportunities.

They also got a stud of a freshman in Andy Johnson. Then they still have Henderson. Our bigs will secure their 3 rebounds a piece. Their guards are the ones giving people fits.

I've gotten ESPN+ for several years now JUST so I can watch the Sycamores, but ESPECIALLY for nights like this...to partially relive my childhood. A cold and snowy January week night...football season is basically over...we only had three stations and they all stopped broadcasting around midnight...it wasn't the Sycamores, but that week night basketball broadcast was MUST WATCH TV for a kid obsessed with sports.

Going to say we follow our usual MO this year and play competitively until the last under four timeout, at which point we completely unravel.

80-67 Flames.
