Not that I haven’t already begun pressing the panic button, but if we lose this game then we’re officially toast. MSU hasn’t won a conference game yet, lest a conference game on the road.

This is an absolute just win, and a get-right game.

Not to be debbie downer, but Missouri State has been playing pretty well recently. The have had some close games against top half teams, even on the road. If we don't come out like we know how to play, this will be the most embarrassing loss of the season.....and there have been many. My die-hard fandom wants to tell me this game gets us going again.....but it's hard to look passed how bad we have been the last 7 games or so. Come on Sycamores.....we all need this one.

Curious what you guys think on this one. Bears start the really small 5... would this be the time you actually start JD and hope his driving gets that guy in trouble? I don't feel like they have much beyond him and he seems to also be their heart and soul.

While we absolutely should, we won't start JD. He should play the most minutes, though.

Bonsu from MSU will absolutely run circles around Harding and Vorst (if he plays). It's an ideal matchup for JD.

This could either give us a little confidence or send us into the a pretty bad spot. Not a lot of in between

Yeah, we'll likely keep the same shit but if there was ever a game to do it, it would be this one.

Really hope our outside shooting can somewhat resemble the first couple months of the season.

Yes, our early shooting prowess masked just how bad our defense was. Now that our 3 pt shooting has dropped below 30% since the end of non-con, it's completely exposed how bad we are.

Coach did say there would be another change to the starting 5 Wednesday, but it sounds like it might be Doughty coming back as a starter. HCMG doubled down on Harding, said he is light years ahead of JD and Vorst in terms of post defense. Wishes he could swap them out on each end, but is not happy with JD's defense. I get that, but we need to score too. Now, if we get 15 a night from Harding from here on out, I won't bitch about his minutes anymore. But he literally equally his points from the previous 5 games in one game last week....and he only scored 12 points. It does seem like since that game, Harding has been more aggressive on offense and it has helped, but most everyone else has fallen off. We need atleast 3 guys playing well offensively at once for this team to be able to win. Hope that starts happening soon.

I would not start JD. I could be in the minority on this. His post defense has been bad as of late. He couldn't guard Walker at ILST (Last game wasn't good either) and I'd be worried he get easily moved around this game. I think you let Harding start but JD get the most minutes. It's the Di'Angelo Russell effect where if he isn't good offensively then just a liability on the court right now.

That's our entire team.

It's the day before game day between the two worst teams in the MVC and I hate to wonder...

Which team breaks its losing streak?
How embarrassing will it be if it's not us?
Are we a single-digit-win team for the entire season?
How many combined turnovers will there be in this game?
Which Bear will shoot lights out from three?
Will Teel and Daughtry each score 20+ points like they did in our first meeting with the Bears?
Will Dez White score 30 points like he did in the first meeting against us?
Without looking at our season stats, who has the best A/TO ratio?
Will Summers see the court?
Will this be the first game of the year in which our attendance doesn't break the 4,000 mark?

The way this team has played at home - I wouldn’t bet on us winning this game. They’ve been an absolute embarrassment at home in front of the 3rd largest attendance in the league.

We said it last year and I will say it again - I never want to hear anyone say our fan base, the Wabash Valley, Terre Haute isn’t supportive or non existent. The fans have held up our end of the bargain this year - this teams performance at home has been beyond disappointing.

A lot of people bought season tickets so at least they are using them regardless of our performance lately. I don't think we can expect this next season unfortunately. We are favored but it would barely be an upset if we lose.

Every season will be a new one unfortunately with new personnel, hopefully a defensive assistant coach onboard & at least a couple recruits whose strong talent is defense.
