Ive never heard of a will win game for a 10-11 team. lol I think we will win, but we no Wichita State at this point.. Helps that their leading scorer just got busted for a fake id at a bar though!

I think it's a "Will Win"....we're 6-3..(I don't know who those guys were who tallied a 4-8 mark in the non-conference....we're just a different team now). If we play anything like we've played the last several games.....albeit, maybe playing a little better on defense, we should win this game.

updating the BU status, they may not have a team to play Saturday, LOL

Updating the stories:

"Warren Jones got arrested, they cited tresspassing (translation: he wouldn't leave when they told him to). Arrests probably come with a stock 3-game suspension.

Bell was cited, not arrested, probably subject to discipline. Omari Grier supplied Warren with the fake ID and is now also subject to discipline

We're wiping out our entire backcourt in one night!"
 
I think we can all feel that this is the closest thing to a sure win as we'll ever get, Bradley is a MESS, just go read thru their message boards, that whole school is in shambles. They're gonna be playing their mascot by the end of the game Saturday.

While not disagreeing with your assessment of Bradley and the state of their program, you will never, ever hear me say Indiana State and sure win in the same sentence. I get nervous about every game. While I expect to win, i never take any game for granted. Way I have always been. We could play Terre Haute North and I would still be saying "We should win, but.....".

I guess you would have to label me a supersticious person when it comes to State and their games. I never get too confident.

For what it's worth, I don't feel the way I do because I look negatively on the team or program, it is just how I look at games. Just don't want anyone to take my statements above as evidence that I have no faith in our guys. Those who see or feel the way I do will understand where I am coming from.

Terre Haute North?? Really?? A Division 1 basketball team vs. a high school basketball team?? Seriously??

That is ridiculous, this isn't some broke back basketball program we are running here. This is a D1 school in the Mo Val, I don't think we really need to bring up a high school basketball team and Indiana State to try and qualify your stance.

It should be noted that I agree, nothing is a sure thing for Indiana State. Any D1 team is capable of beating us on a given night, lets not kid ourselves. That said, a large majority of D1 schools that we are also capable of beating on a given night. College hoops is no mystery, playing on the road is brutal, conference games are always competitive and you can't just show up to win a basketball game. But a high school team, get out of here with all that.
 
Kinda sad how far Bradley has fallen in the past decade or so. With the history, success, fan base (well, what once was) and resources, they should be a top 3 team every year. You gotta think that this is Geno's last season in Gargoyle land. It makes you appreciate and see just how lucky we are to have Lansing and Co. and what they are doing with one of the smallest budgets in the Valley.

With that being said, this is probably as close to as a "sure win" as we will have all season. I give us about a 95% of walking out of Hulman Center with a "W", just gotta get on them early and let them know that there is no chance of them winning the game.

The Indiana State Sycamores continue the Missouri Valley Conference slate as they return home on Saturday, January 31 to take on Bradley inside Hulman Center. The game is set for a 1:05 p.m. (ET) tip-off and can be heard locally on 95.9 FM The Duke as well as online via a link on GoSycamores.com. This is the 119th season of intercollegiate basketball at Indiana State University.

What can I say, just the way God made me. Not saying I would bet against State winning that game, just saying that you wouldn't hear me out there telling people "we will win by......?" or "this one will be easy", that kind of thing.

I stopped believing in "sure thing" wins when UIndy beat us in about 2001 or 2002. Now, I count nothing as sure when it comes to ISU sports...
