Dude... You going to quit putting this shit on our
forum and on MVCFans anytime soon? This, we didn't see this shit coming stuff???

Some of us - didn't think Lansing should be fired.
Some of us - realized that this team wasn't going to be a huge force in the non conference. Some of us - realize that it's 3 seasons and the start of MVC play is a fresh slate for a new team.

Love you Scott, but shut the hell up already with the backhanded stufd. For whatever reason you have always been glass half empty - between posts on here on MVC fans enough is enough.

I don't know that anyone on here thought we'd be 2-0, but I sure as shit didn't think we'd be 0-2 so give it up already. It's conferenxe play anything can freaking happen. Contrary to popular belief Greg Lansing is a pretty good coach.

Much like the first two games, our defense is going to determine the outcome of this one. We routinely forced Evansville to force last second shots and had the refs not let Mock go over the back 40 times, we'd have won in regulation. Prusator needs to be done and the staff needs to work with Etherington in film study to fix his defensive issue and we're going to be pretty damn good. Etherington is doing what most former high school stars did -- trying to do everything for his team. Just guard your man and let your teammate handle his.

Scott played much better D today against Evansville and the light seems to have gone on with him. Early in the season when he made a bad play or lost his guy and Lansing would bark at him, he'd look or walk away. Today he routinely looked over to him and the ESPN camera caught him one time patting his chest and saying "my bad" -- that's taking responsibility and growth.

Last game that I will be able to watch on tv for awhile (game will be on ESPN3 if anyone didn't already know), so hopefully we can keep this rollng.

Edited the first post to add it so maybe people won't need to ask a later time if it is on ESPN3 lol.

And I will add that not only will we take it -- WE EARNED IT!

SSOM -- I just want to say that we don't always agree and I'm a half-full guy. And I'd like to credit you with your attitude this year. You have expected their play and accepted their play and you haven't got too cold or too hot. It is irritating when some start jumping ship and blame the losses on recruiting or coaching or weightlifting, etc, etc and who knows what else.

I appreciate the posting of that Jay Tunnell video. I think I've watched it like 5 times now. Incredible finish.

Kudos to Kitch on his recent play......just hoping Gant will get that sense of urgency that Kitch has. You only get to do this once, you don't want to look back on this and wish you would have done things differently.

Keep it going Trees.....I'm planning a trip to Carbondale on Saturday....would really like to go in there with the lead in the Valley.

This is an interesting game. Both teams are 2-0 in conference play, but we've beaten IllState and Evansville while MSU beat SIU (barely) and demolished Drake. MSU won on the road at SIU, so this won't be their first Valley road test. We only have one common opponent so far - Eastern Illinois. MSU beat them, and you all know the outcome of our game with EIU.

I will give us the edge only because we've played tougher opponents so far in the conference and have come out unscathed, and we're playing at home. I think this is going to be a very close game, but I think we win. 68-64 Trees. Keep Marcus Marshall to 15 points or under, and we win by much more.

Agreed on Marcus Marshall. That's my key to this game.

They usually always seem to have one big that ends up having a good game that wasn't expected to.
