This is good. I do wonder why in the ads for the game in the Tribune Star the last two days they didn't mention this ticket special. It didn't have any prices at all. Seems like that would be a good way to get the word out.

May be a couple of days too late here. Good idea, though. It certainly worked for Evansville when we played there a few weeks ago. They don't even usually open their upper deck for basketball games, and the top sections were nearly full.

Typical ISU...can't look at the schedule OVER THE SUMMER and layout a HOME marketing strategy for each game...where's SSOM when you need him?

Will ISU ever see a cause/effect relationship of bodies in the stands and home court value? Last year I was hoping for a "decent" crowd v. UNI - 4,500 show up for a BIG GAME. Don't think this doesn't trickle down to the court and impacts player motivation.

No reason whatsoever for this, but it happens EVERY 'friggin year @ Indiana State.

Groups: Boys &Girl Scouts
Boys & Girls Club
YMCA
School Hoop Squads (HS/MS)
Surrounding Municipalities (Clinton Night, Brazil Night, Sullivan Night, Marshall/Casey, etc.)
Union Night (ISTA, Plumbers & Steamfitters, Elec Workers)
Corporation Night (Industry?)
Healthcare Night (hospitals, nursing homes, etc.)

should have been heavily advertised since the win over ILS Saturday, better to offer $5 seats than let them go empty. Hope they do this more often, why not every home game?

Really sure this was announced during the IL ST game.

Yes it was which is why I don't understand why they don't say that in the newspaper ad.

It should have been in the newspaper ad. We live about an hour away so I don't get the TH paper. Not real sure what I was going for with the last post. Guess I just felt the need to say something. Ha

I wonder if advertising on facebook and twitter for things like this would be good investments. Maybe they already do. ive wondered how effective that medium is for other things but this is one that could be targeted pretty specific I think.

it may be too expensive too.

This price may bolster the stands by 1500 or so. When you lose at home to IUPUI and at Eastern Illinois and start the season 3-6 in the first nine games the tone is already set for a less than stellar home attendance all season long. No matter that the 3-1 conference start looks pretty good. Still 15 games to go and they ain't done nothing yet. Could barely muster 6,000 when ServPro bought all unsold tickets and gave them away for a game each season. Terre Haute crowds are what they are?

Even online advertising would be a smart move. I always find it interesting when I come to this site and see the ads before logging in. I've seen ads for IU, UNI, (right now it's Indiana Wesleyan) never for Indiana State.
