Don't tell the fans at half time that the coach will be making comments to the fans after the game and then tell them after the game that he will no longer be making comments because his team played like a load of dog.

Inexcusable.

Did he really do that? I left literally half way through the second half because that was one of the worst excuses for a effort that I had ever seen. Keep and mind I havent missed a minute of a home game all season up to this game either. So that should tell you how disgusted I was with our team/coaches tonight.

What???????

What?

Here is the what part.

Greg Lansing has been saying in the media for the past 2 days how he was going to "thank the fans" tonight after the game - even thought we didn't have any seniors he wanted to thank the fans.

At half time they asked for people to stick around after the game to hear Greg Lansing address the fans.

After the game - he walks off and they make an announcement that he will no longer address the fans.

It's unacceptable! I can accept losing. I can accept bad basketball (to an extent). But what I will not accept is being strait lied to by the program that I spend my time and money supporting.

Ron Prettyman will be getting an e-mail from me and if you don't feel the same as I do I don't know what to tell you. What transpired on the floor tonight was a joke. What transpired after the game - the most disrespectful display by a University that I have ever and will ever see.

I haven't missed a home game that i have been able to attend for over 10 years and i didn't go tonight or the Iona game. That's how fed up I am. It has become an inexcusable pattern that the coaching staff doesn't seem to know how to fix. I had been attending games even though i have been laid off and I could no longer justify spending the money on piss poor basketball. I wish I felt better about this team, but they have simply ruined my desire to follow the rest of the season.

Don't put the blame on the team...this is the way they were coached

Maybe you missed the part about "his" team - don't put the blame on me. I just wasted gas, time and season tickets. Certainly my frustration is not directed at you BB - it's at what I just witnessed. Again, I can handle losing - have all season, it's whatever to me. But that. After the game with fans waiting for you to address them...

I understand your frustration, but I didn't want to hear anything he would have said and I can't imagine there were many people left. I have been going to games for over 30 years and I can't ever remember leaving early, but I did tonight that was an embarrassment.

That is pathetic. Hell of a way to keep fan support huh??!!!!!!

I have said it to many members on here that I honestly don't think Lansing is the best coach for this team. He seems to be a good guy, and good recruiter but he falls way short on the x and o portion of the job. I was hoping for the best situation possible for him and ISU by playing really well and making a deep NCAA run so he could get a higher caliber job and ISU could get a different style of coach. It would have been best for all involved, in my opinion. I don't know what is best for them now, because he certainly wont have bigger schools come calling now. I guess we just suffer through the remaining years on his contract with good starts and disappointing finishes.

You know Meis I don't really give to shits what he had to say, it's the principal of the matter.

If it was me, I would have apologized for what everyone just witnessed, then would have brought the damn team right back out on the floor and practiced until the last fan went home.

He actually did apologize to the fans on the post game radio show.

Now now...let's behave. I'm sure Arop's behavior was the 1st time anyone's crossed the line this season, thus Lansing timely (?) action.

Ya, he apologized, but also stated that "it wasn't his team." What the hell's he apologizing for then?

He apologized for the effort. Did not apologize for stiffing them when he said he would talk after the game. That does not fly with me. I would be really pissed if I stuck around for that and he did not show. Especially after the dogshit game I had to sit through to hear him. Not cool Lansing.

It is about respect. Respect for the fans, the school, and yourself. Do what you say you are going to do. Be a standup guy and take your lumps, don't just stand there in front of everyone when times are good.

What disappoints me the most about it is the fact that Manny gets suspended for not living up to his responsibilities, yet Lansing tells everyone he will be speaking to the fans, the "oh, Im too mad so I changed my mind." How is this setting an example for his players? You suspend a player for conduct detrimental to the team, yet your own conduct after a game is detrimental to the entire fan base.

Not saying Lansing should be suspended, or that he was wrong to suspend Manny. Just saying, be a standup guy. Set an example to your players.

Rolling renewable annual 5 year contract is all I can say . At least the Babe in the white pants was nice to look at haha

I've been reluctant to criticize Lansing all year, but after tonight he deserves what he gets. This team, 1 thru 12 was not ready to play. And the other person who deserves to get a fair amount of criticism is JO. He is the leader of this team and has been since his freshman year and as the leader he has got to do a better job on and off the court leading by example. I feel like this game could be the turning point of our season, either we come out fighting mad Saturday or we decide to give up and call it a season. I hope this team looks in the mirror long and hard the next couple days and decides they want to fight.

They wont, if they were going to do that they should have done it a week ago or sooner. They are playing like the season is over and apparently they don't care to make a good name for OUR school. They would rather embarrass the alumni and themselves than fight like crazy to make this season a success. OH, WAIT I FORGOT....We were picked 7th so its a success already....BULLSHIT!
