I'm glad everyone is done complaining. It seems like everyone's views towards this season are now just disappointed. But on a good note most everyone seems to be happy again and looking for another sycamore win! As I just read in another thread, all this team needs is that little spark, well. We're 1-5 in the last 6 games. Manny (should) be back. And its all or nothing. Hope they kick Evansville and Creighton's @$$. And who knows? We could end up with a 20 win season. If any of the team players or coaches read this site..GOOD LUCK! And make us proud.

That is so untrue. The opposite of people complaining would be those supporting the program! Tools will be tools!

I completely disagree with you! I am one of the most outspoken people on here when it comes to our poor performances by both players and coaches. I tell it how i see it and i understand some don't like that. I will complain when i see things i don't like, but i fully support this team and the university. I couldn't tell you how many functions I have attended for Indiana State University Athletics or how much money i have donated and spent. I would say those who help support their university should be given the right to complain. As SSOM pointed out to me I am a fan only, as most of us are, and all i have is this website to throw my thoughts toward. Do we often times go overboard, yes, but that part of being a fanatic follower. Our emotions often overflow, whether they be positive or negative, and can lead to exaggerated or misguided behavior.

People don't often complain about things they don't care about in general conversation; I can't imagine anyone taking time to post complaints to a board they didn't care about. Complaining, while it may not be pleasant to read, shows people care about, and therefore support, the program. Supporting the program does not mean just being blindly ecstatic that it still exists. Wanting the program to improve, opining on faults, these are part of supporting something. Isn't debating with other fans about ways the program can succeed half of what the internet was made for?

I think if you take the time to complain AND you support the program by attending the games.......I think that just shows you have passion.....and I'm okay with that................it's those who complain and never go to games....that, I have issues with.....

There are many ways to be a FAN, and keep in mind that FANS come in all shapes, sizes & dimensions. There are thousands of ISU alumni that can't personally attend games because of geography alone, but subscribe to Syc Vision to view ISU squads, send ISU donations, etc. Bottom line, is that it's possible to be a "fan" and not attend an ISU game @ HC, Memorial Stadium or Warn Field.

However, if you're referencing ISU on-campus students that prefer dorm slumber parties (et al) to an ISU HOME sporting event, then your COMPLAINT is justified. For ISU to only avg. 4% attendance (?) of their student body @ HC is embarrassing.

The opposite of supporting the program isn't complaining, it's indifference. And the more fans you have that care enough to cheer, the more fans you're going to have that care enough to complain. It's not specific to the Sycamores or Terre Haute, but every fan base is naive/arrogant enough to think it's them and them only. The way this team has played of late though, the less complaining you see. The less emotion. People are starting to expect disappointment. You don't want that!
