I watched the game but did not see the catch. I saw him on special teams punt coverage and on the third string offense at WR. Great that he actually got some action to show what he can do.

Saw Hilton's Catch
Though I spent most of the evening watching the Olympics, I did switch over to watch the Bengals-Jets game occasionally. Fortunately, I was tuned in when Justin made the catch despite the interference call. It is not clear to me whether he got credit for the catch in the official statistics. The Bengals may have accepted the penalty. Nevertheless, it was a great catch.

Unfortunately, Justin Hilton was released by the Bengals today. I hope he can catch on witih another team, at least on a practice squad, once the regular season starts.

These next couple of days are the tough ones for the guys trying to stick. The waiver wires go crazy, and someone who thinks they may stick, even on a practice squad, can get dumped in favor of someone else who was waived. A tough mental deal, but you never know what can happen with injuries, suspensions, or other crazy things that may lead to another shot. Justin is a personable kid and a heck of an athlete--hopefully he gets another shot somewhere.
