One Missouri Valley team dropped out of the AP Top 25 poll this week. Creighton had been ranked #16. Wisconsin enters the AP Top 25 at #20 this week and is one of four new teams in the poll. Kansas was penalized for its play this week, falling nine spots to #14.
Creighton drops out of the poll following a week that began with an upset loss at Indiana State, 76-57. After that came an upset loss at home against Illinois State, 75-72. Wisconsin breaks into the Top 25 at #20 with an overtime win at home against Iowa, 74-70 and an upset win at home over then-3rd ranked Michigan, 65-62. Memphis comes in at #22 with wins against Southern Miss, 89-76 and Southern Methodist, 60-52. Colorado State shows up at #24 with a win against Nevada, 73-69. Kentucky also enters the Top 25 at #25. Cincinnati falls out of the Top 25 this week with an upset loss at Providence, 54-50 and an upset loss at home to then-23rd ranked Pittsburgh, 62-52. Minnesota drops out after losses to Illinois, 57-53 and then-12th ranked Michigan State, 61-50. Missouri drops out after a win against Ole Miss, 98-79 and a loss to Texas A&M, 70-68.
Kansas is a big mover this week to #14 after an upset loss at TCU, 62-55 and an upset loss at Oklahoma, 72-66.

Creighton & Wichita State's decline sure is kicking the MVC national ratings...funny, how in-conference MVC ass whooping is not = to similar activity occurring in most of the "other" conferences.

Love how it has to be that Creighton and Wichita are not that good and not that the valley is just really deep. I honestly think we have 5 high quality teams and one big pain in the rear to play in Evansville. Ill. St. and UNI are both talented and capable teams of making a run in the valley tourney and then winning one game in the big dance.

Not to mention that they racked up what? Eight ACC wins without him? So does his injury really diminish what we did in Hawaii?
