He's not going to Wichita State. 0% chance of that happening. They may be good and have a great reputation going right now, but they don't get that type of a player.

LOL! I was just pointing out at the class of kids they are offering right now, pretty impressive right? I mean, why not throw an offer his way... Just wanted to share some video with ya all.

It was a cool video. He looks like a grown man playing against 6th grade B-teamers. I think we should be offering every 5-star recruit in the state of Indiana...why not, right? It's kind of like Wall Street - you have to calll Gordon Gecko everyday until he finally takes your meeting.

It boils down to time, though. You have to put the time in to show interest, and you can't be everywhere. I would hate to guess how many times we saw Kessinger or McIntosh in person.

Oh, I know. I was being more facetious than anything else.

Don't kid yourselves. Wichita is gonna start getting a kid or two like this every couple of years. With their ability to sustain success on the national stage, these kids are going to see Wichita as another Gonzaga. WSU is never going to fill a class with them, like Kentucky (who, by the way, never cheats...), but they're gonna start getting one once in a while. The whole pitch of, "Play the big boys on an annual basis, and spend the conference season inflating your stats for the NBA scouts" is gonna hit home with one of 'em eventually.

You don't devote the same amount to time to long shots so that's moot.

It doesn't cost you anything to offer them and there are far more benefits doing it versus not.

Harrison Barnes. All set to come to ISU until he blows completely up before his senior year, ends up starring at UNC...

Yep. A couple other things.

1) Considering college transfers are at an all time high, odds are some will not work out at their school of choice. If you offered and they have at least some background on the coaches, odds are you could find yourself in that mix.

2) Publicity. When kids list offers, how many times have we seen some small school get listed with Duke, Kansas, etc. If nothing else, it may spark interest in another kid that heard our name attached with some big time kid. There have been several mid-majors that have done this and are now at the high major level -- you guys know who they are.
