Makes about as much sense as Sycamore Sam, so I guess go with it Bradley.

I beg to differ with you slightly. Sycamore Sam is a real hit with kids. I don't see anyone getting excited about Kaboom.

I'll concede that the kids love Sycamore Sam...I never intended my post to mean he wasn't a beloved mascot. My point was more that a dragon/gargoyle mascot for the Bradley "Braves" makes about as much sense as an asexual, racoon/fox/squirrel/rodent creature representing the Indiana State Sycamores.

I will never complain about Sycamore Sam ever again. At least he fits into a forest/trees line of thinking.

HaHa BT . I however do not mind the look to much . I guess the important thing is the person behind the outfit. I mean if he is only a stationary figure then he is pretty much useless much like the earlier Sycamore Sam. However a few years ago there was a young man who took SS to another level with the surfboarding and the mascot Sycamore Sam is now a part of the ganes.

Ok, watching the video it somewhat makes sense. They have a gargoyle up on a building that everyone knows about. But, you have to ask why don't they just change the name from Braves to Gargoyles? With us, the Sycamores and the furry woodland creature goes together (not perfectly but you can see the A+B=C thing that happened). Sycamore trees are home to furry woodland creatures, why not have a mascot that is a furry woodland creature? It is logical. But anyone that doesn't know about that gargoyle is never going to be able to figure out any kind of connection. Especially when the Braves name attached?
And I would also argue that kids will love the gargoyle. One of the all time best cartoons (it won every award that it could in its day) on TV was produced by Disney it was called Gargoyles and it was huge with kids. And it was all about Gargoyles that came to life and protected the city for evil. It was actually a darn good show (for a cartoon in the 90s). It ran for at least 4 years and they did some straight to video movies too. There is no doubt that kids will end up loving this mascot in my mind. I would offer that it is too cartoon looking, to happy. But other than that, I see kids loving it. They loved a cartoon that was full of action and the gargoyles were much more scary looking just two decades ago. Why not again!
